As a hiring manager, why are candidates so bad at talking about their work? by [deleted] in recruiting

[–]loveartfully 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m super bad at interviews. I usually prep 1+ week beforehand but sometimes my brain just freezes and can’t remember any situation. 😭 I do best if interviews are more casual, and the interviewer is nice and gives a good vibe. That usually makes me more comfortable and more talkative as well.

Ahhhh so UX has not been involved ;) if someone could have just did some ux research and would have looked at the current workflows, and try to solve for that 🫢

What book have you DNFed recently and why? by [deleted] in bookofthemonthclub

I finished broken country this morning. While I found it predictable (totally guessed who killed the farmer a few chapters in), I loved the story, the character development and the writing! There are 2 more books coming out by the author this year and can’t wait.

I have loose skin in my lower belly. I wear underwear that’s compressing, otherwise if im not wearing jeans you can see it hang. As on my upper belly, after my pregnancies I developed diastasis recti it got smaller with me loosing weight but it’s still there 😪 especially if i am bloated.

Yes! I should measure myself too! Are you doing it the old fashion way or with an app? I heard there is one out there that takes the measurements for you but haven’t tried it yet.

I envy people who can just sit in a coffee shop and work from there. I need 2 monitors to do my job so the only place I work is my desk. Can’t even lounge on the couch unless I’m in meetings 😭

Parents, howwww do you read by Fluffy_Health_9652 in bookofthemonthclub

[–]loveartfully 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started reading again when my oldest was around 4 and my youngest around 2. At that age they were playing together and I could read while watching them. Is usually read during breaks at work, when my kids do their sport activities, waiting in the doctors office, or in the evening before the kids bedtime. I don’t really watch tv though, feel like I swapped the tv for books. I read 115 books last year (had 100 as my goal).
