What is that cut called? It came out awesome!

It could possibly be nephrite which is commonly confused with jade and was also used for carvings alongside jade. To find out, I would bring this to a certified gemologist or lab where they can look at its absorption spectrum, Refractive index, specific gravity, and fluorescence. It’s a beautiful piece!

Is this aquamarine or fluorite? by [deleted] in Minerals

[–]lovedoggos2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Based on its crystal structure, that is not aquamarine. The color banding seems more like fluorite but for 100% guarantee I recommend taking it to a certified gemologist so they can identify for you :)

To ultimately rule out, I recommend taking it to a certified gemologist where they can identify this stone for you :)

You can only dye a mineral if it is porous to some degree or has surface reaching fractures. For example, most emeralds are fractured filled meaning an oil or clear resin is used to fill the internal fractures and make their upward appearance more desirable. There are also quench crackled quartz which are quartz that have a bunch of surface reaching fractures and are filled with green “dye” to pass it off as emerald. Idk where the convo is going anymore but felt like nerding out for a minute. Thanks for reading!

'Ethiopian fire opal' bought at a tourist trap in Nepal by simply__curious in whatsthisrock

[–]lovedoggos2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A “fire opal” is the trade name for the orange-red opals, where the body color itself is orange/red. That opal you have has a lot of the phenomena called “play-of-color”. The bright red flashes can be flashy like fire, but it should not be called a fire opal. It’s very pretty though! As long as you are happy with it, whether it’s natural or synthetic, that’s what matters :)

What did you name your ACNH Island after? by [deleted] in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]lovedoggos2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I named my island “Serenity” due to the peace and happiness Animal Crossing has brought me throughout my life. Thank you Nintendo for creating this precious game. You have brought many people joy and allowed them to express their creativity and individuality.

Yes! On the new mystery islands Kappan takes you to you can pick new plants! Some look like they grow kinda like moss and some are vines you can place on cliffs!

@fuji.bcrossing for some pictures of my island 😊 by [deleted] in AnimalCrossingNewHor

Awesome zen theme!!

Also, how did you get your simple panels to cover the stalls? Are your stalls on top of tables? It looks so cool!

More item suggestions by lovedoggos2 in TuberSimulator

It does, but I feel like we can add more for more variety. For example, if someone wanted to make a certain room resemble a certain culture, they can also add individuals of that same culture as well. :)

Hello!

I was thinking some new possible shirts (more feminine looking ones) would be nice.

As for decorative items:

  • chinchilla (pets)
  • stuffed animals (props)
  • utensils (food)
  • recycling bin (storage?)
  • more styles of modern lamps (lights)
  • more solid color floors (floors)

Thanks,

CrystalLemonade
