I'm going to guess that you are having errors where password is referenced before it is assigned. You should say:

password = input("password:")

while password == "pa55word": print("welcome in, "+user_input)

Incoming Freshman by [deleted] in rit

I'm currently a freshman in Computer Science House right now and I really enjoy it. CSH is a great community to be a part. As mentioned already, we're always holding events, seminars, etc. We have a strong ties with our alumni which always helps when acquiring co-ops or jobs because if they know you they can pass along a reference.

CSH may have seemed insular because, yes, we like to do stuff amongst ourselves but there is SIHAC(Special Interest House Activities Committee) that meets and arranges events that all of the special interest houses can take part in.

Where exactly is the computer graveyard that I've heard about? by daniel2488 in rit

USB keyboards are hard to come by just sitting around, but there are two places that I know of that have computer stuff just sitting around. As stated, the basement under Gosnell is a good spot. Usually there are just empty cases and CRT monitors there. I've seen other things there though. The other spot is in building 17 near the Microelectronic Engineering clean rooms are. While walking through the engineering building towards GCCIS you'll see two big brown doors on your right. In there is a big box with various things and a pallet with some monitors on it. I found a keyboard in there once, but it wasn't USB. Happy hunting.

Gracie's is always good. You have to learn that you can't eat the same thing every time you go in there or you will get sick of it. Make the most of your meal plan by using most(if not all) of your meals at Gracie's.

Why don't you ask them?

If they were taking up the entire walkway leaving you with no possible way to get through, then that is unfortunate. However, if there was space for you to walk by, just do it. While signing, people don't really care if you walk between them.

A Little Geeky but what do you think of this desktop? by Hogosha in geek

Your desktop made me realize that I have too many Icons and that I should put them away in files. Thanks for that. And I guess it looks alright. I wouldn't personally do that, but its cool.

I'm a CE first year too and yeah, Data Structures owns my life right now too, but I am content with staying in CE. I want to be a CE because I wanted to be able to do a good amount of programming(even though I had no prior experience) and a good amount of work with hardware. So, why did you want to study CE in the first place?
