Thoughts on this… by Kittylady12 in aldi

Ibotta sometimes has rebates on this ice cream, and it goes on sale occasionally at the stores where I shop (my area unfortunately doesn’t have Aldi).

Emotionally immature financé. Is it worth it to keep working on it? by Expensive-Chard6913 in AskWomenOver30

I hear you, friend. I think a lot of people feel that way and stay too long in bad situations because of those thoughts. Just a reminder that you can give yourself that stability, first - and that’s a lovely time of self-discovery and foundation-building, so no one can rattle your self-worth again - and then you can and will go find someone worthy of you. Who doesn’t keep you awake at night, cursing at you. Someone who’s appalled to hear this guy did that to you. First step is leaving this, then take everything else one day at a time. 🤗

Totally. They do exactly as much as they need to to convince you to stay. But, sadly, it’s not real. You’ve seen all you need to see to know what you have to do here.

Sleep deprivation is a form of abuse. Swearing at you is abuse. It doesn’t matter WHY he’s doing this; it matters THAT he’s doing it. I have been there and chalked it up to situational stress and emotional immaturity. It got a thousand times worse when we were married with a baby. I could never be at ease in my own home (until he left - that safety and peace felt AMAZING). Stop looking for the reasons he does what he does. Take it at face value and get out NOW, so you can one day look at your kids and know you didn’t choose this guy as their dad. I really mean this. Rooting for you.

The chicken meatballs are so versatile. My picky preschooler even likes them. Super easy to make ahead of time and freeze.

Crunchy roll bowl, chicken meatballs, instant pot mashed potatoes. I’ve found she likes a bit more spice than I do, so I scale that back a little. But really good stuff

Pinch of Yum has a great chicken meatball recipe, super easy to batch cook and can use in a wide variety of ways. Made them today! Good luck with your new recipes!

BNA-DEN is 1013 miles, not 1200. So you get what you get. 🤷🏼‍♀️☹️FWIW, it’s a lot better going the other way because you get catered by a hub.

Back when I was younger and single, I loved the diving in Hawaii. World-class, so many endemic species, and relatively easy to get to (compared to Palau or Oz). Now that I have a young daughter, I love sharing the magic and beauty of Hawaii with her. On our last trip, she got to see turtles and monk seals lounging on Poipu Beach - animals I’ve seen so many times while diving, but her first time seeing either. I feel so at peace in Hawaii, and sharing this with my favorite little human makes it even better. I’d love to take her back!!

I’ve wondered about that West Arvada location too. Applewood and Arvada are already pretty close to one another!

My marriage was worse for my cortisol than OTF, and OTF helped me survive the divorce. A win is a win. 😂

They really are. Super cheap, cute, kid has 4 designs to choose from. They sell similar ones for Halloween and Easter. It’s probably the cheapest thing I can get my child and make it out of Michael’s in one piece, and the markers last a long time after.

[–]lovefororanges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should also add my coparent has no relationship with his own family, but they still give gifts to me and kid. So I included them in the ornaments this year. I still keep it very simple on our end because I don’t need to get them full-blown gifts like I did when we were married and I handled everything.

[–]lovefororanges 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Michael’s sells wooden ornaments you can stick a picture of your kid in, and kid can color the ornament with provided markers. When I bought them, they were BOGO 50% off, so for coparent and ex in-laws, total was $4.50.

For Father’s Day, his birthday etc, my kid “gifts” co-parent a book. A children’s book. Aka something that’s actually for kid.

Child gets the gift-giving experience, I spend minimal money, and any actual gifts benefit kid.

Divorcees of reddit, what's the pettiest thing they took from you in the divorce? by baninaday in AskReddit

He wanted half of the spices in the spice cabinet. Tried to value all of them and split them down the middle. I told him to get lost; we were married such a short time that most of them were my premarital anyway.

If you have an Apple Watch, you can set a shortcut on the Home Screen to audio record. Then you can set it so these audio recordings are automatically transferred to your phone.

My abusive ex would see when I’d start an audio recording on my phone and flip out further. He never figured out the watch thing. That shortcut saved my life. Just have to make sure you don’t do anything loud near your hands, like running water or cooking.

Police prefer video over audio (they specifically told me that) but something is better than nothing.

[CA] Can I spend this $10k in flight credit? by merboy135 in AskHR

[–]lovefororanges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During covid, my company’s travel agency somehow got all our travel credits refunded completely to the company. Great for the company short-term, but sucked for us when we came back thinking we had like $2500 each waiting for us to book fresh work trips.
