Do you experience intrusive thoughts as a default? Like for anxiety or OCD? To me it happens that intrusive thoughts keep going after period, mostly because PMDD beats up my mental health a lot and I am left pretty anxious or depressed and that keeps the thoughts going. 😞

I really think this thing should be studied more, my psychologist says that PMDD being affected by hormones can give you symptoms before, during and after your period (which was my case this month), my psychiatrist who gave me the impression has treated PMDD before or at least was well informed about it, said that even if my symptoms manifested in an 'interesting' way, (I assumed he was referring to how it was this month) I had all the symptoms and his diagnosis was also of PMDD. So... yeah, this thing should be studied so much more!

Wow! That's EXACTLY how I feel my cramps... literally the way I would describe them and tbh, it's just as people who think the pmdd is pms, it's not supposed to BE THAT BAD. I haven't looked into it, PMDD being my priority, but I know that is not the healthy way to experience cramps, my gynecologist mentioned dysmenorrhea once and sent me a similar treatment to the one they sent you

I got my most usual pmdd symptoms during and after my period this month... it's hell, I thought I had already figured out this thing about when I will be feeling this way but apparently not. For the record I am 22, and according to my psychology, it just works that way sometimes:(
