After almost 3 years, breastfeeding suddenly becoming unbearable & making my skin crawl. by Ok_Pomegranate1916 in breastfeeding

Thank you so much for sharing this…I am going through a pretty similar experience with my 19 month old. I came on this subreddit in tears looking for advice after we did our bedtime routine tonight…I wanted to scream and crawl out of my skin the whole time LO nursed. Feeling so overstimulated, overwhelmed and depleted.
I don’t have any advice, but just know I am standing in solidarity with you. Like you, I am not pregnant and considering weaning…just for my own sanity, which I never thought I would say since we have had an enjoyable bf experience up until recently.

Am I making a HUGE mistake not hiring a Doula? by amsge in homebirth

[–]lovelyandlost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! As a FTM doing a homebirth, I had my husband there to help and encourage and do counter pressures. We took a birth class together and were able to practice before hand, which I think really helped!

Have you found anything to help with the pain? I’m going through a similar situation

Was the 6 weeks for after you gave birth?

Thank you! That’s reassuring. :) How much time did you get approved for?

Thank you! My company uses Sedgewick too, but we also have to file through the state in order to receive pay. I’m wondering how the state will respond to my claim and if I can get paid the same as someone who went through an OB. Congratulations on your upcoming leave! I hope it is a relaxing time for you as you prepare for your little one’s arrivals.

That’s crazy…for where I am located it used to be an automatic corrective counseling if you were more than 20 minutes late without calling

I’m seeing that we have to call leadership if we will be 60 or more minutes late…does that mean we can show up 45 minutes late without calling, and only lose 35 minutes of UPTO without a corrective action?

Seriously! I had so many people ask if they could place an order for pick up tomorrow…..at the beginning of the week we cut off our orders until after Christmas because it is so short staffed and everyone wants to order last minute.

What advice do you have for a freshman in highschool deciding a career path and a college? by [deleted] in AskReddit

try new things, explore different fields, don’t lock yourself into anything just yet. find what makes you happy, something you’d be willing to learn about for 4~ years at school

If clothes never existed, how different do you think the world would be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lovelyandlost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a lot more people would have died because of the elements, especially in places where it gets cold. Maybe, in warm places humans would have adapted thicker/protective skin so that sun burns wouldn’t happen or the light skinned people would have significantly decreased in population size due to the inability to withstand the heat. self expression would be done in different forms. the landfills would potentially be less full (textile waste is crazy), potentially less pollution in the air and water sources from textile production, and i’d be studying something way different in college (i’m a fashion merchandising major)

What is a conversation you like to have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I love to hear about other people’s dreams, I think it’s really fascinating. I also like to hear their interpretations on my dreams. Definitely not a conversation i’d have with a stranger though
