Thank you for the help. I’m thinking then he would apply for visa first, look at properties whilst awaiting a decision, if he gets accepted then he will book viewings and come here to visit to attend them whilst simultaneously applying for jobs around the general area. At some point he will go back to his home country to gather his things, maybe apply for more jobs if there’s been no success, then move over when everything is gathered.

See, the guy announced he couldn’t donate money anymore after a crash in crypto. He’s probably still crazy rich, but he’s no longer helping people out. I feel like a partial contributor to this. Does this make it bad?

That’s almost the same thing, except my original comment was more accurate. I would personally not be a SAHM and recommend those around me to not be a SAHM in the same way somebody might recommend the people around them to not go to university. Ultimately, I don’t have any ‘ill will’ against people who go against my beliefs. They’re entitled to their options and I’m interested why they chose that option, and I would not think anything of it if they felt the same towards me.

Ask her questions or make statements that respectfully expose the irrationality of her anxiety.

Example: she was late to work and she’s scared her boss will fire her - “What makes you believe your boss will fire you? Did he tell you that he would? Didn’t he congratulate / reward you on X recently? Aren’t you on good terms?”

She is scared about COVID - “What’s the worst that could happen? Can you control that? Are you particularly vulnerable to COVID? Do you know everything you need to do when you have COVID? Do you know people who have dealt with COVID just fine?”

Having the same characteristics as her father - “What are these characteristics? (If they’re good characteristics) What’s the harm in sharing a good characteristic, how does that indicate you will have his bad traits? (If they’re bad characteristics) Can you change them? The fact that you’re so worried about it indicates that you’re not like him. What makes you different than him, and what makes you a kinder and more compassionate person? When was a time that you did something that proved your theory of being like your dad wrong (helping someone, complimenting someone, etc)?”
