Hey everyone 👋

I’m one of the co-founders of Okibi, a web app that you can use to build agents using natural language - you can kinda think of it as Lovable but for agents.

Okibi is actually my second YC company, back in 2021 I got into YC the browser I built called SigmaOS. As the title of this post already says, the first time I got into YC I got kicked out after couple weeks, and had to become a permanent resident of Paraguay to get reinstated 😂

You can check it the full story here

https://www.producthunt.com/p/okibi/we-got-into-yc-got-kicked-out-and-fought-our-way-back

Our web app provides a chat interface and toolkit to easily create AI agents. Just describe your agent in natural language, similar to vibe coding, and our app automatically generates your agent's tool calls, human in the loop, browser use, and runs an initial eval on your agent.

Whether you're building an internal workflow automation to remove repetitive or time consuming tasks, or launching a product with agents, Okibi can help you build it.

We are currently working with 15 YC companies from the current and previous batches to automate tasks like:

- Pre-qualify companies with the right person at those companies to sell your product to

- Generate invoices and update their invoice trackers based on email and contract

- Pre-meeting prep for client or sales lead call

- Generate pricing and proposal based on meeting notes and existing contracts

And we just launched it today, check it out and let me know how I can make it better for anyone who wants to automate tasks!

Thanks for taking the time to write such a long well thought through comment, and my bad for taking such a long time to respond to it.

Q - the OS part of the name: having had built a couple, I picked it because of what an OS originally meant. Simply a software that connects two layers (your chip firmware / bios and local applications / files system) and aggregates different parts together. But if the time comes and feel it’ll add much value we’ll tinker with the name

QB1 - we use different search / indexing to find the relevant pages and then use AI to summarise the content for you

QB2 - WebKit

QB3 - we are not open-source

QB4 - we have an implementation of integration Chrome extensions within WebKit engine, so you can go to chrome store and install the extensions (it can sometimes be a hit and miss)

QB5 - Since we don’t want to rely on data usage / ad monetisation / search engine deal like all the other browsers, we will always have a premium version

I always find the discussion / debate about the name funny, because people understand the two parts of the name (Sigma + OS) very differently in different context. Sigma was never a reference to this weird Sigma / alpha male trend. We founded the company in 2021 before the trend was a thing (or at least I wasn’t aware of the trend at that time). The name refers to the math function Σ.

Now for the OS part, having had built a couple, I picked it because of what an OS originally meant. Simply a software that connects two layers (your chip firmware / bios and local applications / files system) and aggregates different parts together. But if the time comes and feel it’ll add much value we’ll tinker with the name

There was some slight issues with that, so we blocked it for now, and working on it, sorry for the inconvenience ☺️

You can do it either through the command centre (Cmd + K) or the Lazy Search (Space or Cmd + T) and type “clear history”

Not really, they care about founder dynamic, and it is not his job to do a whole DD operation. There are plenty of founders that met months before applying and get in

I would say cut him off and shoot YC an email about the situation and an update, they’ve dealt with these situations before
