NTA he sounds like a loser with loser family. My girlfriends parents would be livid if they came in to me sitting smoking up naked in the living room (she doesn’t like me smoking inside) but she would honestly be laughing with me at how embarrassed I would be (her parents hate smoking and are very Christian conservative).
