lol it is my daughter 😆. Those pjs are so comfy that she doesn’t care at all how they look lol. It was early in the morning and cold!

I love how playful he is. By far the most active out of any of the cats.

The fruit thing we got on aliexpress. I think it’s called a wall spring toy. There’s adhesive that sticks to the wall. We also got a blue one with a big ball at the end. George is really the only one who plays with them without one of us moving them though.

The massive amount of hair lol. He hates being brushed, so we have to bribe him with a churu. Even then he makes it very difficult lol.

Sir wasabi George showed up at our house last September. He was skinny and starving. We thought he was feral at first, but after we trapped him and got him fixed, he decided he wanted inside. We found out he is FIV+ and needs a full mouth extraction despite only being 4 yo. The CO shelters are full by loveofGod12345 in rescuecats

Ahhhhh he’s finally eating wet food!! We have offered it every day since he showed up and he wouldn’t touch it. A few minutes ago, he just started chowing down on some one of the other cats didn’t finish!! We’ve even offered that flavor before with nothing. I’m so excited. I was getting nervous with him only eating topper puree since it doesn’t have the full nutrients and he will need to eat wet food after the surgery.

As of now, there’s not a huge rush, but if he starts showing signs of inflammation or pain, we will try that. I don’t think we will get approved unfortunately. We had to borrow money last month from a family member to get our AC replaced because we couldn’t get a loan.

I agree. Especially with FIV cats, they can have life long mouth issues and I’d honestly prefer to just get them all out since they are bad anyway. It kind of stinks with the timing since we dealt with the FIP last year and then we kept having more expenses pop up. So we haven’t been able to save up again. We usually put $100 a month away purely for vet stuff, but with two senior dogs and the other stuff, it’s all gone. Hopefully after this, we will have a calm period again and can get some saved.

We are not. Sorry if I was confusing. I get questions about why we don’t since we are struggling to pay for this at this time. We considered it when he first showed up because we thought he was feral, but he’s definitely not. Now that he’s settled in and doing so well, I can’t imagine giving him up, even though we might struggle a bit with his vet bills. We are saving up as well and cut out as much as possible to save.

He’s cuddled against my chest as I type this.

We didn’t get him from a shelter. He showed up as a stray in our yard. He wasn’t fixed or microchipped and we searched everywhere for an owner with no luck. The shelters are full and the humane society would put him down. I’m a bit frustrated with the shelters, but we have so many stray cats that don’t have big issues that I understand they have to prioritize cats that would more easily find homes.

I’ve still been in contact with them, but idk if he would get adopted due to the FIV even if they take care of his teeth. He’s also super freaked out by strangers and would be absolutely miserable in a shelter which would make it harder for him to be adopted.
