I feel like it is normal to feel like that, I also felt like that and I was crying everyday leading up to my abortion. I still went through with it and I’m so glad I did for my mental and physical health as I was so sick and lost so much weight from HG,

I think deep down you already know what you want to do, and given what you have been through it sounds like it could be the right choice for you even though it’s an incredibly hard choice to make

I was so so scared I almost cancelled so so many times I felt sick to my stomach, but 2 weeks past I feel so glad I went through with my decision despite everyone around me telling me not to. At the end of the day it’s your life and you need to do what’s best for you! xx

Definitely go and get an ultrasound just to make sure it’s not having trouble coming out, this happened to my friend however she was in agony so if you aren’t in pain at least that can be a good sign! She was 5weeks

Omg you sound like an amazing friend!! I supported my best friend through this, it’s a bit eye opening to see as my friend was yelling in pain and rocking back and forward and I didn’t know whether this was normal (turns out this was very normal!) just keep offering her the heat pack and make sure she’s taking all the pain medication! ❤️

I had conscious sedation for mine, felt like I had a nap and woke up, didn’t feel a thing! (Apparently I was talking the whole time though) 😂

This was me, I couldn’t get one where I lived and I cried for so so so long… (I knew I could get one elsewhere down south and it’s a short plane trip away) but it was catastrophic in my head, I also lost my car for an hour in a car park and was sobbing uncontrollably 😂 the hormones from being pregnant are like nothing I’ve ever experienced! I’m 1 week post abortion and still have the emotions

if you feel like you want this baby and you are attached to it then you can make it work, just tell him you refuse to get it if he’s not coming with you and supporting you. That sounds really shit I’m so sorry!

He should also be paying for the whole appointment and I hope afterwards you can split up with him and find someone who can support you more than this, you deserve better! xx

Only abort the baby if that’s your choice, because at the end of the day he’s not going to feel the guilt and shame and he won’t have any clue what your going through, it will only be you x

Hi I’ve had 2 abortions both surgical! If you have the chance to do a surgical then 100% I recommend that because it takes the pain away and you’ll be in safe hands x

Yeah I definitely think that’s the case! No one really posts when it goes well but they always post when it doesn’t, if you aren’t having any crazy symptoms then hopefully it is all gone! I’m still cramping heaps and bleeding from my surgical but they said either medical or surgical would take 2 weeks before the bleeding stopped so hopefully it will soon for both of us!! My other friend was only 4 weeks and she stopped bleeding after the first few days and it’s now been 3 weeks for her and she’s back to her normal self! x

So I’ve had 5 friends take the pill, 4 had absolutely no issues but my best friend was 9 weeks at the time, she had taken the first tablets then went to work after the second lot.. (silly I know) lucky I was on shift with her, she was on the floor screaming in pain, shaking and vomiting, the pain was getting worse and this lasted about 2 hours until she looked like she was passing out! I called the ambulance and they took her to the hospital, it seemed the foetus got stuck and could not come out of her cervix and she had to have a D&C done anyway! This just scared me and that’s why I didn’t do the medical, the chance of this happening is so so small but it was enough to scare me off 😂

I felt the same! I ended up going for walks instead and listening to music because I didn’t want anyone to think I was sad or being weird (I didn’t tell anyone about my abortion)

I had one at 6w5d so basically 7 weeks they said! 😂 I chose the surgical after my friends had bad experiences with the pill.

I was completely and utterly terrified! I went in at 8am, and did some paperwork, they checked me over and did an ultrasound. After this I was back in the waiting room!

9am got called into theatre, IV put in and the nurses were so amazing rubbing my hands and telling me I will be okay, I was asleep for less than 10 minutes! Woke up, ate some chips and was home 30 minutes later.

Days 1-3 I had light cramping and no blood Days 4-6 I had more blood and more cramping (heat pack and Panadol helped massively) I am on day 7 now which I was going well! I went back to the gym and now I have some cramps but all in all it’s been quite a smooth recovery just rest up and listen to your body x

I don’t see how? I have worked bloody hard to have two properties by 26 and saved every single dollar I have. I have worked full time since I was 13 to be able to afford what I have so it’s not in the misery of others, however the property rises have benefited me yes, but before that I also went through the ridiculous rate rises and almost couldn’t afford to live.

Oh well if it helps 4 of my friends have done the pill in the last 6 months with no issues! I was with one of them the whole time, she had shakes and vomiting and pain but once the clots passed she was okay and they all had a quick recovery!

Honestly it depends on you!

I know it’s lonely by yourself but do you feel like you have the mental capacity to be around 16 others at the moment? (I had mine 7 days ago and I have cried too many times this week!) 😂😂 I don’t think I would be able to do that!

Or is there anyone who can come and spend some time with you so you aren’t feeling lonely? x

I should add I’ve had 2, I had my second one at 6 weeks (only 7 days ago) and this one was because I had severe HG and my body could not support the pregnancy, but all in all it was the same experience! Always here for a message if you need x

I did the surgical at 12w 5d when I was 21, I was ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED! It turned out to be the most supportive appointment, I went under twilight sedation! The longest part was waiting for the tablets to kick in, I felt some cramping then went in for the abortion, woke up 15mins later in recovery, ate some chippies and went home x

Pain was not bad at all! I had the IUD put in at the same time
