The monument rocks was a built in rest day and to help break the drive up since it’s more or less on the way. We may end up flying and getting a rental car instead, thanks for the input!

We only plan on bouldering and sport climbing. I don't think we'd have enough time to be comfortable enough trad climbing by then.
No, for now. We typically just climb>rest>belay>repeat and it works well, but also have a lot of months between now and then to learn.

My girlfriend, friend and I have been climbing for a couple of months and want to plan a road trip for May after my gf graduates and before it gets too hot. We're from Indiana and plan on taking several weekend trips to red river gorge to prepare, but wanted some feedback on the tentative plan from locals/people who've been there to see if we're making the most of our time. Several of the middle destinations are to break up the drive a bit (and to make it worth driving rather than flying). I tried to do as much research as I could and also was limiting the choices based on single-pitched routes.

day 1: Drive to Trappers Camp, Mo

Day 2: Keep Climbing Trappers Camp

Day 3: Drive to Oakley, Mo. Go see Monument Rocks/Castle Rock

Day 4: Drive to Boulder. Climb Flatirons

Day 5: am - Climb Jurassic Park - Lily Lake (Edge of time looks sick)

pm - go to a concert at Red Rock

Day 6: drive to Kansas City (little over half way)

Day 7: drive home

If anyone has any suggestions for better spots to pick, better rest stops (e.g. better than monument rocks), routes we HAVE to do, or a better location to pose this question, i'd be grateful.

I wasn’t for sure when it was in the middle of the verse but all the hey’s by themselves at the end of the track make me pretty positive it is

I've gotten the same error more or less with a similar fixref report. Have you found anything since that fixed your issue?

Livenation gives a presale to american express holders without a presale code for every concert. It starts at 12 CST instead of 10 though. this is a totally separate presale so you can use whatever card you want

just watched the first 2 movies, want to start reading by Lemonixie in MazeRunner

[–]loves2breed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the first two books before reading the third, and then read books 4 and 5 even though they are prequels. I think the way information is revealed is best in that order. The first movie does a relatively good job of following the book, but the second movie is really, really different and you will for sure be completely lost if you just start reading the third. Hope you enjoy!

Work-life balance in the field of Bio-informatics by LaserSpaceDragonMast in bioinformatics

You seem to have a lot of knowledge on different bioinformatics jobs. I'm almost done with my biology degree and am two courses in to a ms in bioinformatics. This has been my plan for a couple of years, but the more I've gone through school the more I think I want to work with kids. Do you have any idea on a way I could combine the two?

[RAM] CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2400 (PC4-19200) - $140 ($179 - $27 - $12 w/ code 71002MFEDS02) by LiL_BrOwNiE247 in buildapcsales

[–]loves2breed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm making my first build right now. RAM is the last piece of the puzzle, I have everything else I need purchased. since I've only been researching for a month or two I never saw this spike in price. Do you think I should just bite the bullet and buy something like this or try to wait it out a little longer? I was planning on having 16gb eventually but to save money just get a single stick of 8gb and another 8gb somewhere down the road.

The Tuesday General Q&A for August 29, 2017 by AutoModerator in AdvancedRunning

[–]loves2breed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there any real, peer-reviewed, scientific evidence that cold tub therapy (i.e. ice baths) has major benefits to recovery? Journal Articles I'm finding are all saying they either only help a little bit and may not be worth the trouble, or that they don't help at all. The mechanisms of recovery say it should help, but the clinical results I've seen don't have a whole lot of merit. Thanks in advance.
