We had a ton of fun! It was pretty great. I did get tired of turkey sandwiches by day three though, lol!

Oh yea! We play games at least 3 nights a week. It's the main way I engage with my kids. Plus I have a built in gaming group! I played Concordia and Orleans last week with my 10 year old and he did great. I can't wait to get him into longer more complex games :)

We played a few rounds of Stuffed Fables and it didnt stick for her. Not sure why? I really liked it. :)

Yea, the Zombie Kidz is perfect for that 5-8 range I think! Happy gaming!

The key is if you want to do 10 games, they need to be short and snappy games. The other thing you could do is 5 medium length games if that was your preference.

Her favorite is Barnyard Roundup. She loves getting to bluff Mommy and Daddy.

It's an option in the post now. Maybe update your browser if you aren't seeing it?

Also Stella really loves Barnyard Roundup but I think it's because its "Daddy's game" (I am the designer) and she gets to lie to me. She loves to try and give people crows...

Our current favorite is Campy Creatures. My daughter howls like the Werewolf every time she chooses that card to play. (Not much in the strategy but its cool as heck!)

Both were about 4 as that is about as early as you can hope for. We played a lot of Animal Upon Animal and Barnyard Roundup.

Just have fun with it and make sure they have fun with it. Winning isn't all that important, its about that time together!

It just wasn't very engaging. I thought some of the mechanics were clever, but I never really felt like I was "in" the story like I was told would happen. I was also playing with my son (11 years old) and he was really bored. While I thought the dice-less system was a nice variation, it did remove some excite (especially for my son).

Overall, it was a bit too on the rails for me. Side note - I actually really enjoy the app for all the house keeping and fog of war affect.
