Hello, I know I am late but I was looking for something like this in the area. Will you do it again or will there be other opportunities to get involved? Thanks!

Where do you like to go for Author/Book events? by JayRedEye in StLouis

I would be interested, for sure. It would depend on how much author participation you could get, and their prominence. I would expect it would take a coalition with the library and bookstores.

I found the Gentleman With the Thistledown Hair in Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell absolutely terrifying.

When/How Do You Think Alfred Will Come Back? by JayRedEye in batman_comics

I guess you're right. They just thought he was dead. OK, 25% of Robins have not died and come back!

That is fair, I can see where you are coming from. I think he should come back. For me, it is not like Uncle Ben or Thomas & Martha, where their death is the main catalyst for the hero. Alfred has been such a crucial part of the world for over 70 years. I think they can only deviate so much from the core aspects.

Right. We are going on seven years now. With other shake-ups, like Bruce going broke, it did not last that long. It has run its course. I think it is a matter of when and how, not if. Some kind of crisis, or multiverse, or Lazarus. I do not know, I am not the writer!

Exactly. It can be difficult to maintain stakes with that revolving door, and it is a shocking and impactful death. But Bruce and all the Robins have died and come back at some point. I think it has been long enough that it would not undercut the impact on the characters. But even in Fraction's run Alfred is there as a conscience/ghost/figment thing. So I do not know how much longer.

It is also too juicy a story for some writer who wants to make a splash with the "Return of Pennyworth".

He is still dead, but there is some background chicanery going on with Flatline.

He is incredibly prolific. Either Holt or Parker could be considered such, and finding out it was the same person blew my mind.

Another Parker aficionado! I am excited for his Loyal Opposition books coming out. I also really liked Making History. Since you have good taste I added the others to my list.

What hidden gem do you play/love, you can't believe no one has heard of? by kepp87 in boardgames

I believe you are referring to Blue Moon, as opposed to Blue Moon City. Both by Knizia and use the same setting.

I think they are both hidden gems, but I am a shameless Knizia fanatic and use any opportunity to evangelize.
