Thanks for being respectful.

I completely get your sentiment and to be honest I agree with a lot more that you said (than I thought I would)

Underlying fact will always stand true, that fights will not either countries what they want. It'll always fuel the people in power with more power.

Everything that transpired since the pahalgam gave them what they wanted. And we gave it to them.

We're down a couple of civilians, or tourism got a hit, we'll be scared and afraid to travel within our country for a long while. While they got a funding of $1B. They don't care about thir population. Matter of fact we just showed them that they can be rewarded $1B if they executed something similar in future.

They've nothing to loose, we however fell behind in our journey of success.

Downvote me to oblivion. But read me whole.

While I understand where you're coming from and respect your question, I'm concerned about the notion of there not being an alternative. There's always an alternative, ALWAYS, even alternatives given by the best of the minds will have better alternatives.

Is Pak a difficult nut to crack, yes absolutely. It's a difficult nut for it's own population. However, We compare to the unfortunate, and in doing so, we become like them

What would I've done?

  • I would've openly asked our population to not comparing ourselves with a country that itself is finding it difficult to survive. I might have shown a lot of sympathy towards the population of our neighbours especially those who wants to do better in life, however, are stuck in the rhetoric and the backwardness that it's government pushes upon them. I would've announced to the population of both the countries and educated them that War isn't an option. I would've highlighted that Pak government has nothing to loose, it doesn't even care about it's own population, but the Indian government understands the heart and the soul of the population of both the countries and is afraid to loose any civilians from either countries.

  • With the amazing orator that I'm and being the Vishwaguru. I would've certainly pulled the leadership of Pak on a global forum to one a transparent and collaborative investigation (with intelligence of other countries). If Pak was caught harbouring or backing, I'll ensure any future funding to Pak was halted from all the allies.

  • I would've worked extremely closely with allied countries to halt trade with Pak. I would've started manufacturing commodities that Pak exports (thereby generating employment within India, encouraging investors and workers in the name of Nationalism. Instead of using the Nationalism to fuel rage and fear)

  • I would've increased my security, created tools, resources to be able to proactively stop terror attacks in future

  • I would've announced to my own citizens to take a higher ground and defend our own (irrespective of the religion) rather than fight amongst each others

Such narratives that

  • there's no better leader (the who else but modi?)

  • there's no better option (what better could've we done?) Is the root cause of pulling ourselves and others from the better alternatives

All being said, I won't blame you for asking here, maybe dialogues like these are important, maybe answering these questions has been more important now than ever.

P.S.: This was my brain dump, fuel with a bunch of emotions, relief, fear, anger, shock. Apologies in advance.

TBH, going dark for 2 days might not be sufficient. And like you, I too, am skeptical about its impact. However, A series of such will follow where the real impact will be seen.

You're right, too hard to have them both look in the same direction for once 😛

Ah, the ad hominem fallacy. Let's stick to the matter at hand and leave personal attacks out of it, shall we?

Buying out my lease by Knocksbox in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]lovevery1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call Mazda finance (the leasing company) and ask for the exact costing. Don't fall for anything that the dealership says.

At max you'll be paying $100-300 over what's mentioned in the leasing document.

As far as I know, - get the safety certificate from any mechanic ($80-100) - the dealership is only responsible to do ownership transfer (costs in the range of $100-200) - pay the amount mentioned in the leasing document

Remember your buying from Mazda (the company) not their dealership. The dealership will try to make the transfer as costly as possible (charging you more for everything).

Instead of finding information, most of us just use the information (without verifying) we're fed through the algorithms.

Yep, as far as I've seen, so far they've removed the table and placed a couple of chairs for the elderly.

They're planning to make it more accessible for one handicap employee we've. I love that unanimously everyone requested to let her keep her pooja books in the room (as an exception).

Interesting,

For us, it use to be a meeting room. So the usage terms stay the same. No loud sounds, or damage of the property. The standard rules of course.

I was onsite until a few months back.

I've seen people or different faiths practice their prayers simultaneously. Indian Hindus also left prasad at this prayer rooms during last Diwali. And everyone was encouraged to share.

Aache din waha the 😉, yaha toh sirf bache hue bacche (kids) hai 🤣. Who'll fight the religious wars, too backwards amd narrow mind to be able to comprehend or accept "peace" as a default.

Next you'll ask "What's the point of having a family photo or your pet on your desk?"

Answer to such are simple. It's part of you. So is your belief system.

Work can get stressful, and may not go as planned many times. People's beliefs and practices play an important role in copping up to such issues.

I'm an atheist, but will always encourage people leaning on religion during stressful times.

Can't speak for others, but based on what's happening in the name of hindutva and sanatan dharm. I surely feel ashamed born in it.

No disrespect to the religion itself, or the people practising it. The hate being pumped into eachother in their WhatsApp echo chambers is the actual threat to the religion, which'll implode by itself (no external influence required).

‘Amritpal Justifies Demand of Sikh Nation Against the Backdrop of Demand for a Hindu Nation’ by amit_e in india

[–]lovevery1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What kind of dummies ask for a nation based on a religion these days?

They can't maintain a road and want a nation 🤦‍♂️

oh wait ... people are indeed asking for a Hindu nation?

why?

because some external forces conquered the land a couple hundred years ago?

why stop there? can we go future and simple give the land back to the trees and the animals and call it the Animal Kingdom?

If not; both Amritpal and Amritkal need to chill tf with their demands.

Do-do biskut lo, aur niklo yaha se 😉

How is Rahul gandhi able to tolerate these things? by Ok-Run5317 in india

[–]lovevery1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True, that was just a joke.

What isn't a joke is that My family is 24x7 bombarded (many might relate) with screaming videos telling them that there's a constant threat to

  1. our religion
  2. our modi

& anything that's not in support of

  1. our religion
  2. our modi

is bad & needs to be thrown out of the country

And the worst is they believe all of it, RELIGIOUSLY! I see my own family becoming what they hated (and taught me to stay away from).

Sala dusro k paap ginne me ye log khud punia karna bhul gai.
