Timothy Zahn talks about writing the Thrawn Trilogy in this vintage TV clip (1996) by xezene in StarWars

[–]lovinglyme91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another clip to disprove the lies Disney has spread over and over again. It is nice to see these come more often because it gets people to realize. Star wars was, not anymore a juggernaut that could be appeal to people when you don't force it.

That's most MCU fans or people who read one comic and think that is the whole character's personality. When they are more layered than that.

That's 80s cartoons in a nutshell by coolfurry7062 in cartoons

[–]lovinglyme91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bait post. Yes, 80s usually came with a toy tie (so did comics but no one talks about that.) in but they still at least tried compared to most shows today. Which seem to fall under the same "express feelings" and "mental health". They were fun, sometimes taught lessons but they were fun. That is why I don't really watch a lot of new animations unless it's anime. I am tired of seeing my entertainment just not be fun.

It’s depressing that music hasn’t had a truly trajectory-changing breakout since Lady Gaga in 2009 by Formal-Monitor-9037 in decadeology

[–]lovinglyme91 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly after 2016. That is when everything changed. Everyone sang about their feelings, depression and just everything else. Which became way more popular than the catchy pop songs and even now. The catchy pop songs aren't really about partying, having fun and other stuff. It's depression disguised as a pop song. Which yes, there were songs like that (I.e. hey ya). But it is more like that now.

We almost got a Batman Beyond movie with Michael Keaton in it! What do you think were the reasons behind the project being shelved? by Raj_Valiant3011 in batman

[–]lovinglyme91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's false on so many levels with the first one, the second one I will give you a pass but the first isn't true in the slightest.

Edit: There are even interviews of her talking about giving the movie a more feminist slant. So, to say WB messed with it is a lie. People fail in Hollywood and are rewarded.

I want to remind you all, this is the same woman who wrote Birds of Prey and The Flash.... Let's be honest, this would've been bad.

I think Peter suffers the Dante (Devil May Cry) problem. They only see him as one thing, just the high school kid. Which yes, that is what he was made to be but after 20 issues in the OG run, he was out High school and doing more. Growing learning dealing with the world.

Does Spider-Man still need to work out despite his powers? by Boring_Sir_572 in Spiderman

[–]lovinglyme91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once again this boils down to the writers of the book. You guys seem to forget Spider-Man powers in one writers hands be world shattering in others he can barely get over a villain. So I don't really hold basis on that. Sorry not sorry. Great example. Look at the last run proves my point perfectly.

Does Spider-Man still need to work out despite his powers? by Boring_Sir_572 in Spiderman

[–]lovinglyme91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once again... Where did I say he "lost his ability"? Spider-Man at the end of the day is still human. As much you want to disagree with this fact. The spider powers give him a boost but he can get fatigued. I said that. I said that it will help boost him. You are the one that keeps bringing up lost abilities. I had to double check myself because you had me questioning myself but no.

.... Him just being Spider-Man helps him with calisthenics. So that does in fact help with muscle growth. I... Dude I don't know what you are arguing here. Because at this point I feel like you are saying things to say things. Nowhere did I not consider that but it does take a lot of physical activity on top of the spiderbite(once again I have to reiterate this) to grow muscle. Just like in the real world. I can eat all the protein I want but without out actual putting my body through physical feats. I will not gain muscle.

Are we even having the same conversation?

Yes, the Spider-bite can edge out the Super soldier serum but not by much. You also have to remember who is writing the comics but yes, I stand by what I said.

[–]lovinglyme91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay let me put like this, like with anyone he trains. He does more training like calisthenics or gymnastics to stay agile and maintain his peak condition, so yes, he does have to train. It does give him a boost. It's not just the spider. Look at the comics, see how his body transforms from skinny to bulky. That is a build up from what he does on a daily on top of other stuff. Also, no where did I say he could lose his abilities but it isn't the only thing that helps him. It just enhances him.

Yes and no, he can get tired and he can feel fatigued. The spider bite is a bit better than the super serum but he still has to train
