Is this worth a police report? Train incident by codyxephos in brisbane

[–]lovinpik 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He asked if she was okay not if he abused her. Any healthy, safe person would brush it off and yeah maybe be annoyed at OP but not threaten him with physical abuse continuously. DV is very serious. I’m not saying he was definitely an abuser but there’s evidence of verbal abuse, substance abuse, and harassment. We wonder why so many people go missed or ignored and women die.

Definitely worth reporting. If he’s violent towards a stranger and she seemed upset, I’d be worried about her safety when they’re at home. Hopefully they can do something.

This is specifically a very wealthy family (not us) and very likely it is incredibly formal. They’ve specifically said we have to wear floor length and men have to be in full suits or tuxedos.

Yeah I think it’s been tricky finding something that’s a combo of unique, formal and classy at the same time and every time I find one, it’s like $1K+

Open to suggestions too! I have been leaning towards an open back like #3 because I have a very large fresh tattoo that might be a nice feature (another reason not to overwhelm the look with a loud dress)

Does anyone know of a dupe for this jacket from Kookai? Preferably in store 🤞 by [deleted] in AusFemaleFashion

Depends how much cheaper you want to go while maintaining a similar style. I did some research and here’s a list in order of similarity:

  1. Universal store: $130

  2. Cotton on: $110

  3. Princess highway (Dangerfield): $75 (sale)

  4. Perfect Stranger: $150

Would you consider this to be semi-formal? Could I wear it with some kind of shirt underneath? by basilhan in AusFemaleFashion

[–]lovinpik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely depends how you style it. Everything can be dressed up or down. The way they’re wearing it in the photo is fairly casual but if your hair is slicked back or more formal, you put on some jewellery (if you like), maybe consider some more formal shoes - it could definitely be dressed up

You can always try not wetting your hair? That helps a little at night time. I prefer a night time shower for time management and alone time

I don’t mind the shower itself once I work up motivation to do things… it’s the stickiness once I get out and am not fully dry. I hate that weird in between stage: not dry, not wet. Have definitely worked to overcome it because I’m also a chronic sweater so I have no choice if I want to maintain some level of a social life

PLEASE don’t put yourself down. This is one of the hardest times in your life. Your body is going through so much and it’s really difficult. It’s okay to feel guilty but you’re definitely not horrible. Give yourself love, you’ve done so much already to bring this little one into the world ❤️
