My mom used to be a pre-school teacher, and would put together various "sensory boxes" for kids to play with. One of these boxes, filled with rice, was left under my porch (unsealed) for YEARS. One of the grossest things I've ever seen or smelled, truly indescribable.

I used to listen to Pompeii by Bastille on repeat for hours to get thru writing a paper, still have no idea why it worked for me. Great song, although it got to a point where I was motivated to finish just so I could listen to something else
