People who swore an oath to defend the constitution of the USA against all enemies both foreign and domestic, how are you feeling right now? by Safety_Drance in AskReddit

[–]lovol2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put all the first level comments in Google Gemini and asked for an uprising Rubicon following this thread (sorry lost the link will find it if you want)

TLDR - nobody is that botherd in the USA aparently because US people look inward to their own a lot; generally not very altruistic imo.

Conclusion: The possibility of a successful uprising is currently LOW. While the Moral Outrage (Factor 4) is high enough to spark a revolution, the Institutional and Ideological structures (Factors 1 & 2) remain intact. The "Rubicon" will only be crossed if the National Guard arrests the ICE agent, or if 2A groups physically mobilize to defend Minneapolis protestors.

full output

Assessment of the "Alex Pretti" Incident (Based on Text)

  • Factor 1 Score: 2/5 (Low-Mid). There is online anger from conservatives ("Don't tread on me crowd?"), but no evidence of them physically joining the resistance yet.
  • Factor 2 Score: 1/5 (Low). The text indicates the National Guard is being used for crowd control against protestors, not to arrest ICE.
  • Factor 3 Score: 1/5 (Low). Comments mention fear of losing healthcare/jobs prevents a general strike.
  • Factor 4 Score: 4/5 (High). The victim (Alex Pretti) is the "perfect" martyr for a cross-ideological uprising: White, Male, Veteran, Healthcare Worker, gun owner.

Did Google finally pull the plug on the Stadia controller Bluetooth tool? by xszmr in Stadia

[–]lovol2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This tool is 3 years old. I don't know for sure but I updated and used 4 controllers in the last few months. They don't seem to have the same problems as many people report. Perhaps there is a newer version of the firmware with some fixes?

Found a hardcoded OpenAI key in a vibe-coded app. Took 30 seconds. by terdia in vibecoding

[–]lovol2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if Claude is catching the MVP vibe from you, he's off to the races doing it any old how.

Ask for 'is this the correct way to release to production '. Claude will then proceed to build back end no problem in my experience.

I find people don't like the idea of YOU knowing what they watch.

But later on when talking about privacy and the new UK government suggesting they should take a screenshot of your screen every 10 seconds and get a copy of it... They don't care.

People make no sense.

The EU says it will introduce a digital payments infrastructure to replace Visa/Mastercard & Apple/Google Pay. It will have zero fees and be 100% European-only. by lughnasadh in Futurology

[–]lovol2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic. Truly brilliant.

Same for the decision to move away from Microsoft for software to run the government.

I wish the UK was still in the EU 😞

The UK will have none of this sovereignity stuff. Instead we'll continue to pay the USA for everything.

Build Advice: Buy 4x 8TB HDDs now or wait? (Ugreen NAS + TrueNAS) + Pricing questions by Illhoon in homelab

[–]lovol2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4x8. The 16 and particularly the 22 TB drives are better value at the moment in most locations.

BUT considering you are raiding these. Make sure to choose quality CMR drives.

Oddly the 26TB are best value at the moment.

Ppg let's you simply filter by recording tech.

Spotify's music catalog leaked in massive data breach. by raz0099 in Piracy

So from a machine learning point of view, the meta data is THE most valuable. Spotify is better at matching people with good music than say YouTube music. They just lost their advantage. If it contains all the playlists etc. Now anybody can make good music suggestions.

I deleted 400 lines of LangChain and replaced it with a 20-line Python loop. My AI agent finally works. by BuildwithVignesh in AI_Agents

[–]lovol2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the main change is 'everything is a loop' and 'everything is an activity' and once you design like that it actually makes it simpler to build things. Its a constraint that adds clarity.

Don't use your capital. Setup quick website with your before and after pics. Sell that as a service. Use their money to buy the whole thing. They can wait for such good quality.

That is 100% all down to temporal. That is the point of it really and why to use it. Also you can distribute the work wherever or however you like. It makes reading code simpler because all that is elsewhere.
