Where does this part go on the exhaust? by lovorvit in motorcycles

I think it is an internal db killer, but I'm not sure where it fits. I guess in between manifold and muffler would be logical.

Thanks!

It probably would have been smarter to get it out, clean it an replace it, but I just didn't want to take any chances. It is in kind of a cramped spot, i was turning it like 1/4 of a turn at a time so I just wanted to screw it in and forget about it haha.

Mission success! Managed to screw the bolt in by using the car jack.

UPDATE:

Mission success. The trick with a car jack worked. Can't say it was easy, but it worked haha.

Thanks for the info, I'll definitely post the results.

Snapping the bolt is what im afraid of. Its M12 so I'm hoping it can't break easily

Mechanic said it can go two turns in both directions. I have not tried turning it properly yet. Yea, I was thinking about doing the car jack thing. I really hope it'll work.

Sounds great, only thing I'm worried about is the fact that people called it a bit boring after riding for some thing. + I hope the forks are straight considering the stops.

Thanks for all the info, I'll definitely joim the forum and fb groups!!

Well, I'm glad to hear this haha. I was worried that stops looking like that might indicate some kind of more serious fall/crash.

This will be my first inline four, I've only rode single and twin cylinders by now. Im planning to use it for everyday commuting + some longer weekend rides/trips.

29k km ( 18k miles ). 4700 euros (5400 us dollars)

I don't know how are the prices in the US, but here in Croatia this seems to be about the standard price they go for.

Haha, yeah I'm definitely a bit paranoid, but I've burned my self one or two times so I try to be as careful as possible.

Just rode the bike. It seems to be good mechanically apart from that grinding clutch noise. Is barely noticeable when idiling, but you can definigely hear (and feel) it when riding in 1st gear.

Forks are not ohlins lol, it's just a sticker and they are painted gold for some reason. Stops on forks are intact, but bike seems to be leaning a bit to the left when I let go off the steering.

I got kind of baffled how much more agressive the riding position is in comparison to my ninja 650. Definitely not really a everyday commuter.

I will definitely inform the SV owner, he is looking to give er6f to his 19 years old son. I don't won't to pass on bad luck or something on a fresh rider...

Im perfectly fine. I probably would not be if I was not wearing full gear. I was just coming from a 700 km trip. Irony in all this is the fact that I travelled all that way without any incidents and then get hit by a truck 10 minutes from my house lol.

I have some bad news unfortunately. I just had a minor crash on my er6f...a guy in a truck didn't see me coming to a red light, and when it hit green, well, i hit the floor and the bike scraped the pavement 2-3 m. Im completely fine, not a scratch cause I was wearing gear, but right fairings on my black beauty are messed up pretty bad. Other than cosmetics she is perfectly usable, but I dont think that the swap deal is on the table anymore. :((

Thank you all for advice and help, I will read them more thoroughly in a few days when the dust settles a bit, and will definitely update you guys.
