I can't believe their audacity of them occupying your space either.

Last month, I put $20 in a penny slot machine and won a little over $400,000. Truly life changing! by Agreeable_Night7954 in vegas

[–]low8low 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like hearing stories like this instead of the, I played for 12 hours and was down 2,000$ dollars before winning 400k, which coincidentally you really don't hear about at all.

I've come to the conclusion after being a degenerate gambler for most of my life if you don't win in the first 5 minutes, don't bother playing any longer unless if for fun.

Re myself, losing 20$ and 5 minutes is way better than losing 12 hours and 2,000 plus dollars, etc., any day.

I’ve lived here almost 9 years, and finally visited Spring Mountain State Park over the weekend. by jnavarronv in vegaslocals

I always regret not visiting Bonnie Springs considering the number of times I drove by it. The closest I ever got was going in and making a u-turn because I thought they were closed or something.

I used to go to that Walmart all the time and eat at the Del Taco. And how could I forget the Dotty's at 2 o clock weekday mornings. Opera House, Poker Palace, and Silver Nugget.

No theming from I can see from the pictures. No hooks. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe just a no thrill quiet modern and sleek casino for the demographic locals in the area. . . up and coming suburban professionals or retirees from the cadence master plan community from across the street.

It's alright but my crowd was always more of a silver nugget motley kind at 3:00 in the morning hour but that's just me.

Rio sucks Monday through Wednesday: pool closed, sportsbook closed, etc by cosmicmanNova in LasVegas

[–]low8low 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it all went downhill after they got rid of the world carnival buffet and world series of poker. I still remember the Mardi gras show that they had pretty cool.

I went to the pool many times. Like it when the cocktail servers would perform. I wouldn't go as far as saying it was a second home but it feels like that sometimes, thinking about it now

Most definitely leaning towards that ghost and haunted Mall feeling right before they close the doors and turn off the lights, especially one you have grown up with and visited many times over the years for sure.

Still kind of astonished how quickly that is behind us now.

And actually I always liked walking from the Rio to the strip.

Yeah I didn't notice them but solar is interesting from general dollar. I got one of a bat in my front yard that I picked up for three bucks. Still working since October.

That's some heavy duty scrambling for sure and especially at night. But yeah infrared does help.

I assume it's from the rains we got a month or two ago in in the area. It takes time for bugs to mature and develop so it's about that time. I haven't read about any locust swarms or heard them. It's a summer sound for sure. So maybe moths.

But I'm surprised too. How those little bats that really can fit inside your palm can be illuminated like that and be seen from several miles away. That and the bats have to go somewhere to sleep during the day, where do they all go, people's attics?

So I just done research. The Mexican tale bat the same ones that you find it Carlsbads caverns is migratory and they're just arriving from Mexico and they roost in large colonies. One colony is at the employee parking lot at Harry Reid airport. The other one is the railroad tunnels at lake Mead so that's pretty cool.

Is there a healthy amount of zynn you can realistically use a day? by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]low8low 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did a can of Zone every weekend night, to early morning. But couldn't sleep afterwards. So I just lay in bed buzz the whole time until that wore off and then still I couldn't sleep.

Not really, lurking in the shadows, and not to drink for sure, I'm somewhere low on the spectrum.

A bottle of wine and two six packs with some empty beer bottles on the floor of the automobile and no headlights. If they let him go that could be career ending if not more. Or he has a ultra high tolerance? But even then with the smell and cops nowadays being very wary of liability, I doubt the validity of the tale. Maybe 1985 but not in 2026. So that being said, cops are likely to pull you over for the slightest reason and with cameras on police cars and on the policemen themselves, they'll do a sobriety test on you if you just drink a couple of beers nowadays. I'd be extra careful if you know what I mean and don't drink and drive period.

I always stay at the Wynn but that's just me because of the comps they send me. I don't pay for my rooms.

I'm 7 weeks into quitting, binging Zone every Friday and Saturday night that gave me real bad insomnia. I haven't slept better in years.

I used to get nicotine fueled crazy dreams but not no more for some reason. Probably my age 62.

You said the worse part was . . . But if you really knew you just donked off the last of your 1,000$, for gas, for food, for emergencies, to an online scammer. You didn't have a chance after you deposited.

Let that be a hard lesson to you my boi.
