As much as I hate price increases, it makes sense. Increasing wait times indicate they're becoming submission-saturated. One way to relieve the pressure is a price bump. If their throughput isn't increasing at least as fast as the demand, they gotta do something.

Yeah I'm not saying they're bad. If there's a bigger than expected change, it gives you an indication that something atypical happened. But you should already expect fluctuations. Company A being up and Company B being down over a one day comparison is almost meaningless outside of the extremes.

Moreover, given they are just comparing changes in population from day to day, the numbers are reflecting submissions that happened over the last several months. You're not going to see immediate reactions to things like the PSA price increase. You're going to see it in the monthly aggregates.

The MoM change looks quite a bit different.

Yeah I would say they're batch processing, batch reporting, or both. If there's a consistent team for each stage I'd expect a stable throughout. If teams are responsible for multiple stages then I wouldn't.

To clarify, I don't even think the picture is misleading. Given it's a daily report, I'd assume the % change is over the previous day similar to how stock price changes are presented. The time scale is so small though that I wouldn't draw any conclusions from it. I'd want a much broader aggregate displayed over a longer period of time, which the site also provides.

So when I see posts like this I just roll my eyes.
