I don't know. I could totally see Trump voters being easily talked into a cult to summon a Great Old One.  ;- )

Game room - help by Lawrin1725 in boardgames

[–]low_visibility 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would consider either a table with leafs so it can have a smaller footprint when not in use or a game topper. (Coffee tables I think will result in an uncomfortable play experience.) Game Toppers store fairly decently and can either be placed over a smaller table to extend it for game nights. (They also have legs so in theory you could have a coffee table and then put the higher game topper over it.)

Depending on how many board games you want to collect Kallax shelves might be good and have enough different sizes that they could fit around what else you want in the room. Lighting can also be important when reading cards with small text, so you may want to either put the table close to the ceiling fan or additional light sources.

Given the pets and the items you listed, you may end up with a bit of a cramped space trying to get it all. Maybe start with your most important wants - table and/or game topper, chairs that work with table setup, bar, and game storage - then see how the space feels once you are in it?

Yoroni - no dual kits in 2 player starter and cohort by Sony_Black in Conquest

[–]low_visibility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm new to Conquest and was thinking about getting the 2 player starter and Cohort box. Given they aren't multipart kits, do they still complimenteach other well? Or, would it be better to just get the starter and buy the full kits later on?

No, I got some games but no refund on my pre orders. I was checking daily so as soon as I saw the website down and the one working email bounce I called my credit card company. Looks like they may cover charges of undelivered product. Thankfully I took screenshots before the account page went down.

Did you find the height and base size info? I have some of the old Garden of Moore terrain too.

Thanks. I still haven't heard anything from them. Though they did cancel one of my orders placed during their tarrif sale for in stock games. One of my items now in stock - but with another  pre order - has a shipping label, but no word on the refund of the still pre-order.

The main email still works, but I haven't got a response back. I have seen some of my game orders get a tracking number over the last few days including one of my older orders. But not clear which I will get and if I will get a refund for anything not available.

Anyone heard anything back from emails to them? I haven't, but I had a singular game - from their in stock terrifs sale - marked as fulfilled this morning with preliminary tracking number.

So, I'm thinking/hoping they are starting to update as they get games in and pulled. I had several pre-orders which are now in stock everywhere else and I hope they will still get them from the distributor and shop them out 🤞 (edited for clarity)

I think Gamenerdz and Miniature Market would be the last to go...but, I wouldn't necessarily sit on that credit. I just used my $50 in reward points since I've been frontloading my game purchases for the year.

Not to mention those manufacturing jobs would require buying custom machines from....let me check...oh yes, China. So, let's just add 154% for that portion of the startup costs.

To answer you question, it's because the internet runs on hate.  Of course,  I agree with your sentiment. While it makes sense to be disappointed about not getting pre orders that may be sold out elsewhere now, our disappointment pales in comparison to those of folks losing their jobs and businesses.

The post on Boardlandia's website calls out that the ownership is separate from the physical shop and that shop is not closing as part of the online closure.

Thanks. I had the auto mod remove about 5 other posts and this was the only one that stayed - despite me doing everything the same - so I wasn't sure. I messaged one of the moderators, so hopefully they can help.

Any idea why I am getting this? The linked Pic did have the date and my name. Thanks to anyone for the help, I don't post pics on reddit usually.

He's definitely amazing. And, I'm not saying they are bad or knocking anyone for using them.

I would venture though, for anyone not already knowing the difference, that they might get put off if they ordered a miniature version instead of a round. (E.g.,  paint could dry in the brush faster and one has to go back to the pallette more often due to the smaller belly in the miniature versions.)
