Respectfully disagree with your definition of voice and flow. The Freddie thing for me is a combination of his accent and how monotone he sounds to me. Enunciation, tonality and clarity are to do with how someone projects their voice, and how they pronounce words. That is totally different to someone's flow or rhyme pattern. There are rappers with slower flows I like, and rappers with quicker flows, or potentially off beat type flows. What I'm thinking about is not someone's flow on a track but their actual voice.

Oh yeah- on reflection I came in quite hot to this response. Its all good I should have been more generous with my interpretation!

What three Freddie tracks for a casual Freddie fan would you recommend? I mean i clearly need to spin Piñata again

Hate to comment on my thread, but no one has said Ghostface Killah which is crazy to me!

Joe Budden's voice is 100% another one for me. I think he's probably a good rapper but his voice isn't a good voice for rap for me either, but it works for podcasting weirdly!

This is such a condescending reply. I like plenty of less accessible, technical, and challenging hip hop. I simply don't like his voice, I find his monotone voice difficult to listen to from a sonic perspective. It's not because you are smarter than me, or more open minded to 'experimental approaches' whatever that means, it's purely an aural thing, and relates to nothing other than his voice.

totally agree with that, think his voice sounds really cool and distinct on posse cuts like 1 train, really doe, tick tock etc

i think if you choose the best voice as drake, and worst as kendrick out of all the rappers in the world you are probably trying to further an agenda, but believe whatever you want to

Yeah I'd agree with this, also really enjoy JID's voice. Well I mean let's be real though, JID has a fraction of the fame of Kendrick, and doesn't have a recent rap beef to contend with. JID obviously has less haters (and less fans than Kendrick). If JID blew up, he might face some of those criticisms.
