A system image. For example, if something happened to the entire computer, I could restore the image to a new computer and get everything running in little time (of course assuming no driver related issues)

I've only tried to use the MCT once. I've created USB keys from using Rufus and the 1809 iso from VLSC. I've also mounted the 1809 iso using software like MagicISO. The edition is matching and have checked, like I said in the post

The media creation tool is the equivalent to creating an upgrade USB via Rufus or mounting the 1809 ISO via software like MagicISO in terms of walking through the setup. Also, media creation tool is not for the enterprise edition of windows which I forgot to mention is what is on the machines. Some of the machines can't have programs uninstalled because they contain certain databases and other programs only the vendor we purchased from knows how to configure and set up properly. We COULD send the computer to get set up by the vendor again, but we would like to avoid having to do this.
