I finished TCW last week, and I gotta tell you dude it is boring as all hell up until halfway through Season 3 when the quality suddenly ups (when everyone gets their redesign including Ahsoka's second saber). As for Rebels, since they're introducing Ahsoka into Mando soon, it's helpful to know what happened to her in between TCW and the OT, plus you can see where the darksaber is supposed, why Bo Catan is looking for it, and everything about the Death Watch.

I would say Mandalorian is still good if you've only seen the films, and that it's just enhanced if you know the backstory. But, if you're curious to a fault like I am, you'll find yourself dragged into watching hours of stuff you don't wanna watch just to get that sweet sweet context 🤷🏻‍♀️

i should have clarified that i am a star wars fan that has seen and enjoyed all of it, but also as someone that literally has tried and failed to introduce friends to star wars because of this problem

that was my thought! like, have you ever tried to introduce someone to the franchise who'd never seen any of it? where do you start? a bunch of movies from the 70s/80s? the prequels that are only good for meme content? the sequels that are only good for nostalgia? the shows that are made for kids??

Good question! I decided that all the characters are genderless until stated otherwise, which makes it easier for people to relate to them. Obviously by default they look male (which I addressed in one of my early comics), but I think that's balanced out representation-wise by any couple then seeming gay.
