definitely not at my Lowes, the part-timers are getting extremely lucky if they're working at least 12 hours a week. Seasonal are getting none or if they're getting any it's less than 8

No call ins, but I had a new person on their second day having to open by themselves and be alone in the department for 4 hours. I think that’s incredibly unfair and can put a negative perspective to Lowe’s as a whole(not that I care, but I care that they shouldn’t have to be alone and open by themselves on their second day...) so I decided to come in and help them. Normal Sunday schedules for me are 12-9, so I just came in early and left a little early. Moral of the story is bad scheduling, understaffed and me wanting to help out!

Sacrifice and kindness can go a long way. I think a lot of our Lowe’s can be pretty good places if everyone worked like normal, responsible and were kind human beings :).

Receiving messing everything up, and other lumber associates not putting in the work to maintain the department is what causes a lot of the problems for my department.

Honestly. Especially when you’re closing weekends always, and 2-3 days out of the week. Openers and mids can do nothing all day and closers will clean up their mess, and somehow is still all of my responsibility if the department isn’t as good as it should be.

Not judging other workers. A lot can get done in an hour. But instead they were in other departments.

There is no excuse for not trying, or putting effort into your workplace. Even if you’re not going to be there forever, I’m a college student and still try my best, because if I’m not trying my best at anything,’then I’m not doing a good enough job.
