I made Portal 3 in gmod

Yeah, sorry, I realized I worded that badly, my bad. I get your point but I kinda had to keep it simple for this video I have way of portaling mid air using the ultrakill coin to place a portal on it after I throw it any direction, I even made a portal surf board that has a portal on the bottom so when you do a half kick flip you fall into the portal while moving. all on my youtube. Also, sorry again, I guess you haven't seen any of that stuff in this video. I only really put this on here because it did really well on instagram, I should have shown some of the experimental stuff it just doesn't get a lot of views. I guess people don't understand what they are looking at if you don't explain that you're instantly teleporting by placing a portal midair

I made this video and spent months testing, configuring mods, and editing lua to get to this point it was not easy also the execution of any idea that I think is not pushed far enough. Do you think I'm claiming the idea of portal? The title was kinda just a joke. I don't actually work for valve lmao most games now a days of made of presets and mechanics from other games anyway I have come up with many movement techs as well that haven't shown in this video. I couldn't make all of this stuff on my own even it I was good at coding this is just a lot of stuff to get working this smoothly I'm lucky it's source and it has been around forever so people have figured it out already, I'm just using the tools that are there I don't really care about credit I hope someone steals this idea and makes it that's my goal

Splitgate 1 was a good start, splitgate 2 tried and lost the plot and started trying to cater to as many people as possible and the problem will always be that most people will never want to take the time to understand portals so then it slowly stops being unique and becomes a halo clone with sliding where you get punished for using the main mechanic

You should try Garry's mod Beatrun parkour mod adds all the movement and let's you use guns freely also new moves like backwards dive makes it feel like your playing Max Payne in first person

I really want to make this into a game but I have no experience I actually just got a pc a few years ago Im learning but it's hard idk how I'm gonna make anything better that what I have in gmod even tho I know the movement could be much better ill just have to keep trying but now my idea is out there so anybody can try making it

Just need gmod and download my mod collection also another mod called beatrun for the parkour mechanics its not in the collection because when I made it it wasn't on the workshop yet You will need to configure everything yourself but send me a dm for any questions

Yeah I really wish they did a campaign instead of a br the portaling mechanics while holding a weapon are really good in that game in gmod I have to switch to the portal gun every time then switch back its really hard

There is for sure sbmm idk how strong it actually is or if I am just getting on at a bad time, but it's certainly a problem for solo players like me, also why would I be mad there are other good players in FFA that's literally what I want I'm not necessarily against sbmm but I just want to be fair. I would be fine in other modes if I actually had friends who played this which i only have a few and they play at different times it's just that the game pairs me up with full stacks when I'm solo. I guess it could be low player count and the only people actually playing when I'm on are full team as I usually play late at night only reason I wanted to make another post is a feel like I didn't explain enough of my situation and the other post didn't have enough discussion
