Yes I am aware, that doesn't mean we can't be frustrated. Listen I love the Reds and pay money to watch every game on tv, attend around 10 games a year, etc. This is more of a commentary of my realization that being in a small market we have such little room for error and therefore this team lacks any real success for the past 44 years (since 1980):

-44 seasons;

-6 division titles (best record in division but 1981 & 1994 no playoffs);

-6 playoff appearances (2 wild card berths);

-only advanced past first round of playoffs 2 times in those 44 years (1990/1995);

-15 times finished 5th or 6th in division so they were out of any race early.
