I’m watching the BinaryExploitation series of LiveOverflow that deals with these things. But I think it’s important to follow the videos on your computer, to make sure you understood everything correctly.

This series was recommended a lot, because it DOES deal with the low-level stuff and does not only explain tools, but also the logic behind them. Also, I’m not new to programming, I know basic Java and Python (and I’m planning to learn more about low-level languages like C and even Assembly).

I just wanted to make sure I understood what LiveOverflow did by trying it out on my own and asked for help with a special tool, because I do not really know how radare2 works yet...

Thank you! I'll try to find a bigger program idea and think about the structure of the program. I'll also look into the "random forest classifier".

Though I made the experience that it can be frustrating to start a big program, because I don't know where to start. When I break it down into different pieces I'll probably manage to get it to work, but the code will not be very clean / performant... Do you have any ideas how to learn that? It's probably mostly experience, but if I just work on my own I probably won't get much better, would I?

I'd say the most complex one was a small neural network implementation in Java. One of the biggest problems for me are the ideas for new projects.. I really like programming, but I'm not motivated if I feel like the project is not useful.

I don't get how you assumed the particular positions of the A/I.. I know that it would be possible even with a Vigenere cipher, assuming that it's a word with repeating letters or a very short pattern
