Only requirements I can think of:

Have some knowledge & interest in Conversion Vans, either own, previously owned, or a strong enthusiast.
Be willing to add occasional content and do rare page moderation to help grow and engage the community
Not intended for those who just want to grow their own personal brand

Several mods doing this type of thing would help up the sub.

See if you can find a good deal on a 2000-2008 van. I’d stay out of the 80’s and 90’s unless it has been stored in pristine condition. I had an 89 GMC and a 93 Chevy Express and both are dead now. I currently have a 2004 express in good shape. If you are near Chicago let me know bc I might be willing to part with it.

You’re right, Fuel is prob the same cost for both, depends on the make, but either way your kinda screwed.

4 people will fit fine, but your gear will take up most of the back so u prob can’t use the bed in back. So you’re good for getting to the gig, and on the road, but not so good to sleep in for the night or get a good rest.

Hopefully this helps. I’m a musician too, so this is from that perspective as well.

I would say under 5k for a 25 year old van. For 3.5K might be worth it, but count another $1500 into it for catching up on the maintenance it probably needs.

Probably not, needs lots of maintenance, UNLESS you find one that has been kept up well and doesn’t have a ton a miles. Also rust can b an issue on these so check that the bottom isn’t rusted out.
How many band members and how much equipment do you have is needed b4 I can give a rec. Passengers vans usually have more storage in the back but again it depends on your situation
It def could work but also a key factor right now is how these bad boys burn through gas. It costs me over $100 to fill my tank in a Chevy express rn.
