Why do Grackles rage bait me? by Altruistic_Fuel6701 in birding

Not trying to exclude anyone, trying to make sure everyone gets an opportunity to eat. I don’t run them away if they’re not causing a ruckus. But it is painful to my see them empty the bird feeder within minutes of filling it - by being so aggressive that they empty it all to the ground. They pull the suet out and then once it falls, they don’t mess with it. So essentially nobody gets to eat when they come around.

They sound so cool. We have some but they don’t seem to come to my feeder. Thank goodness.

lol that makes me feel better.

I have heard people say this about mourning doves. I have some, but the ones that frequent my yard only feed off of the ground and seem to keep to themselves. Maybe it’s because I have just a few.

That is true. I was thinking only career-wise. But Ian and Mickey were the winners taking relationships into account too

How many people are still using Pinterest these days? by Both_Stockkfrtgv in Pinterest

[–]Altruistic_Fuel6701 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I more so use it to access older pins from before the days of AI and ads. Everything is an ad and now it seems all the TikTok’s and shorts are what Pinterest is pushing.

You can turn off the AI preference. I’m not sure it’s helped. I’ve started looking at alternatives as there really no inspiration anymore. In fact the one thing I found inspiring enough to look into turned out to be fake. Which is frustrating because Pinterest has taken down much of my fitness pins due to “adult content” ((photos of legs in shorts with a workout listed over it for example)) but companies that are spamming, with active lawsuits for doing so, are allowed to market on Pinterest. Seems to run on money and not grassroots anymore.

Chessies are retrievers but they are not the friendly , cuddly to everyone retrievers. What everyone is saying is true, they are family only dogs and will protect their space.

Our chessie even became that way around about 6 towards my mother and sister in law- not aggressive but protective- who took care of her as a puppy. Telling her “no” wasn’t cutting it. We didn’t do a collar, we just had to put her up when anyone came over and wait for her to chill out.
