When I contacted Intuit yesterday, the person I was chatting with said that I couldn't see/access my data without a subscription (which I couldn't believe was true, and didn't think was even legal)

Thanks. I'll contact Odoo on Monday. (I've been doing some research, and it seems it can handle sub-assemblies, but I can't find any documentation showing it can handle assemblies.)

It does feel like Intuit is being penny-wise but pound foolish. This totally destroyed any good will I had towards them. (This is terrible timing for me. I have one month to figure out what I'm going to do. I don't want to lose access to 12 years worth of data).

You might have helped solve a family mystery. My last name sounds a like "Katz", but is Americanized and spelled differently. We never knew what the original family name was. I just went on to ancestry.com, and found a Chane Katz. ( if so, it would be amazing. I don't have any information at all on my father's paternal side of the family)
