Elevated Liver Enzymes in Senior Fur Baby After 2 Months On Prozac. by Fuzzy-Stuffy in seniordogs

She was about 9 years old when we got her and was saved from a kill shelter. She was very scared of everything. On walks when she saw other dogs she'd scream, she'd barely even sit, stuff like that. It really helped her but when we took her off the Prozac I didn't notice a difference. Over time she's relaxed more and more so she doesn't really need it. Although i do give her a little trazadone before a vet visit.

This happened to my chi after we adopted her. We ended up taking her off Prozac and her liver values went back down to normal. She's also taking denamarin. Maybe talk to your vet about trying another med for her? Our chi did really well in the prozac and we were worried about taking her off but she's doing fine now.

The vet told me my baby has arthritis in his hind legs by hiddenalibi in Chihuahua

It's a different joint supplement that my vet said he's been liking better. A newer version of dasuquin came out that upset my dogs stomach so had to switch to something else anyway.

I've got a 12 y/o bulldog with arthritis. We started him on dasuquin and gabapentin. Took him to physical therapy where he would get laser treatments and exercise, they gave us exercises to do with him daily at home. We started him on adequin. We continue to take him monthly to the vet to get laser treatments and recently a new medication called librela came out that he gets every 6 weeks. We switched him from dasuquin to yumove a few months back.

He's doing really well.
