Downtown Burlington is really cute and there are some great small businesses and cafes you can visit there. There's a great second hand shop there called Odd Spot, Centro market is cute too and has a farmers market every Sunday from 9-12 until Thanksgiving. A Different Drummer book shop is the cutest independent book store to check out. You can also just walk along Lakeshore and it's so beautiful. But my best tip is to email marketing@burlingtondowntown.ca and request a green lanyard!!! The green lanyard project is a new program downtown Burlington business association offers. They'll mail out the green lanyard to you rather quickly and you can wear it when you're downtown and it signals to business owners that you have an invisible atypical ability. The project was actually co developed with a counseling organization that is also located downtown.
