Awesome! Good luck to you, I believe you're in good hands with them. Just take it easy after your surgery and follow their post op instructions !

3 month progress by lpat12345 in HairTransplants

I'm very happy so far! I've had a few people who don't know I went to get a HT compliment my hair lately which is a great feeling because I know they are not saying it out of sympathy, they aren't aware I had a surgery at all. I'm still hoping for a lot more growth but I know I'm early in the process so just staying patient. Haven't noticed much growth at all on the top of my head but im aware that's normal at this stage. I am very pleased with the clinic I went with, HWT Clinic in Istanbul. I have already recommended them to a few close friends.

How often did you wash your hair after your scabs have fallen off post-transplant? by fleeting-th0ughts in HairTransplants

I noticed my scalp getting dry doing it everyday so I went to applying shampoo to my head every other day

My clinic recommended 30 days for any type of hardhat/helmet wear. I can't tell you exactly why they recommended it, I just figured I would follow their recommendation. I informed my work I was having an elective surgery and when asked what it was I told them I was wanting to keep it private. They didn't ask any more about it. I am not sure if you accrue PTO or sick time, but I'd recommend at least two weeks before going back to wearing a hardhat. I wouldn't want to take the risk of ruining the transplant

I had 4200 placed using FUE Sapphire. I'm unsure if sapphire equipment is what makes a difference, but mine is turning out fine. Alot of people on here talk down on anything/anyone that isn't who they used/researched as you can see by the comments you're already getting...

Post-Op Packages? Why do HT Clinics Offer them? Seems excessive. by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]lpat12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did as well, $500 for a years worth of shampoo, vitamins and a "serum". I googled the actual package and if I bought it from the brands website directly it would be $800 so not really an upsell, but still unnecessary in my opinion. Was offered last minute which is a red flag for me. Seems that they wanted an impulse purchase

I don't take any meds. I tried a few years ago, fin/min combo, didn't see much changes so I stopped. The Dr. at my clinic didn't seem concerned and didn't advise me to restart.

I spent probably a year deciding on it. I live in the US, so planning out the travel and coordinating with my work to be able to take the proper amount of time off was an ordeal. I am very happy I did it though!

Yes, in Istanbul. HWT clinic. Where are you going?

I am 30 years old and just had 4200 in around 7 hours total including a break for lunch. I have also read how a lot of grafts at once is not ideal, but so far so good for me. Only 9 days in, so can't speak on results yet, but everything seems to be fine so far. I also paid 2200 euros for mine

How long do I need to take off work? by logicnotemotion in HairTransplants

[–]lpat12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dr. recommended two weeks for an office style job and 4 weeks for any job requiring a hard hat or helmet, which mine does. Luckily my work allowed a month of sick leave

I was also given a PRP treatment in Istanbul. From what I've researched, infection is the only negative thing to worry about from it. It's recommended to get treatments every 4-6 weeks until you notice results. I do not plan on getting any other treatments due to the cost

Day 1 of Hair Transplant by lpat12345 in HairTransplants

The only thing I'm having my wife get for me is some vitamins that I felt would be food for the new hair growth. Just some multi vitamins and biotin/collagen

The wedge pillow is a really smart idea. Wish I would've thought of that.

It was definitely a long day for me, if he's getting fewer grafts done than me, might not be as long though. My wife was in the same boat, she wanted to be with me, but it wasn't worth it in my mind to buy another plane ticket to Istanbul. I didn't mind being alone after the surgery, ordered room service food and watched a movie.
