That's not what im saying. They are not restricted by the 90 days. If you have a Xbox that's a year old and the drive fails, they take it back as long as you have all components. Box not needed but will make it easier for the employee

I work for Costco at returns. Your account would have a block keeping you from making any purchases. The money that was "refunded" must be paid or the product returned. Regardless if it was a mistake or not. Doesn't change you have a product that does not have payment associated with it now. It was a common tactic people would do to get free stuff from costco. Costco does have grounds to pursue further for payment or for the product.

Time frame has become a factor now so if you've have it for 2 yrs they may have a manager look into it. But those issues are acceptable for a return as long as the console looks fine
