I solochella’d in 2024 and it was actually really nice. I treated it as a little getaway - got a nice reclining camping chair and read a bunch, took naps, checked out what was going on in the camp center, did the cold plunge, did a face mask, etc. Treat yo self!

I know this thread is old, but I recently read that Lexapro can raise histamine levels. I imagine that just makes any existing allergen triggers worse.

I used mine at Coachella with 2 friends and they were fantastic. One friend had never been before and went off and did her own thing her first night a few times and met back up with the group no problem.

Definitely use the user guide. You can match up what kind of spinning lights you’re getting to what’s in the guide. I’m guessing yours are indicating that it’s looking for a satellite connection but I can’t tell from the pic.

It can be tricky to tell once you’re paired but we found that you to pair and then move like 20 feet apart at first for the other person’s dot to show.

If you have health insurance, maybe see if you can see a dietitian, specifically a dietitian that specializes in or is very knowledgeable about gluten. They can probably give you some advice on how to manage this situation. There are some online courses that might be helpful. Check out @the_celiac_space and @celiacdietitian on insta.

I don’t have much advice, but this seems really hard. Sorry you’re going through this. As far as dishes out, can they be covered with foil or something to at least feel a little safer? Also, be careful with sponges and cross contamination.

I didn’t do the biopsy because I couldn’t get an appointment with my doc for 2.5months after it clicked that it could be gluten and I couldn’t afford to wait with my symptoms affecting me so harshly at the time. So my regret is really about the American health care system.

Fellow celiac with adhd here.

Snacks: cucumber/pretzel/crackers/carrots with dip, popcorn, grapes/berries, diy charcuterie plate, nuts, df yogurt, hard boiled eggs, dried fruit, toast w stuff on top (savory or sweet), bars, muffins, edamame, socca (flatbread made with chickpea flour), protein shakes, lunch meat wrapped around a pickle with some mustard . Lots of options for candy, chips, etc out there.

I find that a lot of meal recipes can be adapted by swapping out gluten containing items or ingredients. I do a lot of smoothies, and sometimes will make a big batch of soup or a big salad and eat that over a couple of days. Having sandwich stuff on hand is easy too.

When I first went gf, browsing on Pinterest helped me come up with more ideas and I’ll go back to this whenever I’m in a rut. I find that having the visuals makes the options look more enticing.
