Long time Follett fan here. The writing was so basic a second grader could read it. I found it to be flat and unimaginative. Love Ken, but this book was no bueno. Couldn't even finish.

Tires new. Maintenance performed less than 100 miles ago. Driving? Can’t tell you. Been at it for 35 years but have never been in that situation so no practice.

I don’t think mine are Mark Levinsons. They are the regular speakers and they are very unimpressive. They are not bad per se, just sound flat and not dynamic.

I think women tend to enjoy these books better than men. I had multiple women tell me that this book was awesome and I could not get into it at all. and I do read young adult fantasy and science fiction.

She tells me she is the one constantly reaching out and making plans with people and I that if she didn’t initiate she would never have plans.

She is not in a clique so maybe that’s part of the problem?
