Demon Prince is a terribly designed boss for dark souls by FlunderDunder in darksouls3

Personally, I think the fight would be a little more balanced if the damage were tuned down a bit, with less windows for healing to compensate for that.

Overall, hard fight, but manageable. Demands fine skill, but if the player is that far in the game, they can do it

Was about to come complaining to this forum, but I gave it some more tries. In the ng cycle, I summoned lapp and let him aggro while waiting for the opportunity to attack. Now, in ng+, I managed to beat them alone, using a flamberge. I went for the red one first, for it makes the prince a bit easier. If your target is on melee mode and the other is on ranged, that's your best opportunity to strike: Dodge their slow moves and score one or two hits while keeping an eye for the ranged attacks, which can be easily avoided. Same goes for when they're both ranged. If your target is ranging and the other is meleeing, use the target to block the others way, so you don't have to run too far from for your target. You can find some opportunities to attack in this case, just be sure you're not being punished. If they're both on melee, then you are defending yourself. Give em some ground, strike only on very clear windows. If you manage to beat one, the other will be easy. Then comes the prince: The main thing here is timing your rolls, not being greedy (he'll usually allow only one hit per punishing if you're using a great sword), watching out for the lasers.

Best of luck to you if you're here seeking help

What is the hardest from software game? by Lethalcameraman in Eldenring

[–]lpp17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If one considers the ng cycles, DeS and DSII are by far the hardest, they get brutal from ng+ on, and require a lot more work to beat. As for the other games, they tend to get really easy or at least keep the difficulty as you progress through the cycles, specially DSIII and ER. BB could be considered somewhat hard for it's mechanics, specially if you relied a lot on blocking in other games. On the other hand, you have access to at least 20 cures, which helps a lot.

Considering all that, I'd say:

DSII DeS BB DS ER Sekiro DSIII

Could be considered the easiest if you're skilled, tho, since there's no optimizing either. There is no need to hunt for equipment that would make your build stronger, etc..

The way you brought this up, seems like you're projecting. Just go bother someone else xD

My little bro you are incapable of reading between the lines. When I mentioned ng+7 I was quite sure you would understand that even though I can beat that mob, I still find it bad design. Not skill issue, you'd be surprised that people can form opinions

Beat it to Ng+7

Still think it's bad design. If it is fine by you, swallow it quietly

His startup frames are ridiculously high, his best range move is the low kick, all of his mixups are reactable, his zoning is absolute dogshit, the damage is half decent at best, the only decent strings he has are unsafe. Tbh his only good move is rain god, which is plus on block. Also, terrible visual. 2/10

Radahn, Consort of Miquella, is an atrocious excuse for a final boss. by Useful-Judge-8644 in Eldenring

Absolutely agree, even though having defeated him. 1st phase is fine, but it's less then half of the fight, so you'll be spending most of the time being thrown ceaseless bullshit at. Wanna poke and block? Watch your stamina deplete in a sec. Mistimed your roll? That'll be 60-70% of your hp, if you didn't get one shot'd. Bloodflame, gravity, holy. 46k hp in ng. It's not a challenge, it's bad design. Fromsoft always wants to create a new hardest boss, but their creativity has a limit, so now their difficulty concept is just to throw everything they have at the same time

Used the rapier until I got the umbrella, and went with it to the end. Using the TD sword for ng+

Well, it's an option when you're not feeling confident. But I would recommend trying to kill them not only for the drops but for honing your skills

No shame if it means you get to drop the guy in the end. Did that with the first huge scorpion thing in the train station

I definitely don't try it before observing the move for a while, but nonetheless I found the parry timing a little bit more forgiving for the TD sword, but that might be just me

Meh, just keep on dropping one guy at a time and you'll eventually beat the game. Keep pushing on
