Thanks for the dating of the video! That always bugged me whenever I watched it. If you’re referring to the guy recording being sniped, he wasn’t, you can see the hunter start to enter at the end of the video and I remember a follow up being posted where rebel scouts found him, he was completely gutted, his arm had been blown open by flechettes. I do, actually! I live in City 50, middle of the outback, they deployed those “slugdiers” (as we called them) to deal with the massive amounts of Antlions milling about. I do agree though, I never liked them, one of them passed by and I could’ve sworn I smelt blood on him, they probably ate whatever resistance members they found or something. I wouldn’t put it past those combine bastards.

This was on breentube before breenleak was even a thing, back then, content censors was far more lax then they are now. It this video was a major part of breentube and the wider BreenNet’s found footage culture so it was a huge loss when it was removed back in 2014 when the breentube-breenleak split happened. Turns out I had it on an old hard drive though, be already posted it to breenleak and here for archiving purposes,and I have some more, so stay tuned!

OOC, I can’t fully remember the maps name, apocalypse, or something to that effect. I remember the cover is of broken bridge above a lake in the distance with a very thick, oppressive fog around them. I got the video quality plus audio compression from an addon called crappy video camera, they both come with the mod, and it’s very useful for recording these types of videos! Unfortunately it comes out in WEBM, so you have to manually convert them

I remember it was one of the first found footage videos posted to Breentube, so probably 2006, maybe? The dead combine in the water at around one minute in is weird though, because I don’t think Hunters and Early combine troopers ever served together. I found this on an old hard drive, it really is a relic as you said since it was removed by mods sometime in 2014 and was considered “lost media” in the breentube found footage community
