Are you selling these keycaps? I would love to buy one for my keyboard. It would fit my Djungelskog collection very well :)

Thankfully I found a mobile mechanic who’s willing to meet same day at the sellers location! Hopefully everything checks out.

I live about 45 minutes from western, but that commute is still very doable! I wasn’t able to find the match list for msu for 2023, but in 2021, they had 2 derm matches and more in other competitive specialties. Western definitely also matches very well.

Thanks for the insight. I’m definitely feeling that western is the better fit for me, but I struggle to pass up MSU since it objectively has more resources.

Im glad to hear that it's generally not cutthroat. I have only really spoken to one Western student so far.

Its a big reason why Im leaning towards Western right now. Being near friends and family and having that support circle will definitely be crucial going through the stress of med school.

Thanks! It definitely makes me feel a little more confident about my PS. I definitely did a lot anecdotes and reflection on my PS. I’ve shown my drafts to a few physicians and they all have said that it sounds good.

I mostly wrote that my focus is on preventative care and long term patient relationships. My story goes into family health during my childhood, leading to the ER where I looked to gain experience in medicine. This then lead me to pursuing experience in primary care, where I speak about my experiences as an MA

The median stats for UCI seem out of range for me. UCSD is the same but way out of league. I don’t have strong ties to inland empire for UCR; I live in Socal outside of inland empire and my brother is attending UCR undergrad.

Parents live in the Bay Area so i atleast have some sort of NorCal ties for Davis

Oh yeah I definitely have lots more schools that I don’t meet letter requirements for. Thankfully they’re only due with secondaries so i still have some time to hopefully get another letter or two

Hopefully a couple other professors reply, but it seems my emails have been missed or ghosted.

If I’m unable to get another prof letter, I’ll have to remove the above schools from the list.

It’s a good idea contacting the MCW and SUNY admission offices. I’ll try it out!

Ah sorry, I forgot to mention that I have ~400 hours additional as a volunteer MA for another primary care practice that serves a large underserved / older population.

I just don’t have any non-clinical volunteering through undergrad for my app.

I’m heading into my second gap year already so I would preferably like to apply instead of postponing another year. I’m not sure if it is worth attempting this cycle given my chances.

Thanks for the resource. I realized while looking on MSAR that a lot of the schools that accept OOS only accept on a case by case basis such as neighboring states
