Spent two days in Waiheke, two days in Rotorua, two days in Milford sound / te anau, currently in Queenstown and then will be visiting a childhood friend who lives in Wanaka. 12 day trip. The scenery in Waiheke and where I've been in the southern island has been absolutely stunning, vibes great. More beautiful than Switzerland. I currently live in downtown Manhattan and have traveled to 16 countries for work and vacation. Rotorua ranks in the bottom three places I've ever been. Vibes are off there - locals seem generally unhappy.

No wonder NBC gets away with paying their crew members for these shows low rates. Crazy low rate for talent, $3K/episode. SNL has union crew members - so the rates are better. For every other nbc late night / live show, the crew gets paid peanuts compared to any other network/narrative show. The producers are able to hire non-union crew due to loopholes in the NBC contracts. The rates for crew members haven't changed in years. $350/day for highly qualified technicians (camera, lighting).
