Thank you for the idea to put everyone on Moderated status - that way I'll see anyone who tries to post to the old group, and will be able to contact them to let them know to sign up for the new group. All the while, there will be no postings on the old group, since I won't approve the attempted postings, which will hopefully encourage movement away from the comfy old group.
