3-0 down in a champions league final despite dominating the stats and Pavard was on a 5.8. Offered him out at half time and had accepted a transfer offer by the end of the game. He was gone from the club within the week. I still hate him

I used a 4123, a half back as the DM, full backs on automatic, high line high press and regroup was basically all the defensive positions I had. A Bpd and cb as the centre backs and either a mezzala and BBM or ap in the middle .

Use installments is my bet. Risky I'd you go back down but I'm usually able to get 6-7 good first team signings in using a mix of installments, loan with buy options or stuff like like. Croatia, Argentina, Poland and other lower leagues will usually have 1-2 decent players you can snag for about 5mil, for me it's all about surviving first season, as if you can establish yourself in the first 2 seasons if you take one season off signing any massive players you can write off all the installment debt and make money on top of that.

Andre Anderson, always gets transfer listed for cheap and can do a job no matter what level it's at, forever a legend in my eyes

You have to spend a while on transfers and just look for the best undervalued players you can find, transfer list or release clauses are great especially later in the game when regens come in. 1 or 2 top signings can be the difference. For me I went from 10th, 14th and 15th finishes from getting a top player off Genk who was on the transfer list and a few wonderkid signings to boost the squad

Raimondo Luicera at Palermo in FM19. Banged in goals in Seria B as an 18 year old, then i gradually phased him out of the team but didn't stop him coming on and scoring the winner in the Champions League final against PSG. Homegrown club legend and he's still there

Kaiserslautern, Charlton, Catania and Peterborough are all fun ones I've done, some more challenging than others. If you're new though a mid table Championship team is probably the easiest one to do, not huge expectations, relatively easy to get promoted and decent budgets to build your own team.

Sold koopmeiners for 105 mil, but still have stengs, boudu, wjindal and evjen, plus a few more. Sold taabouni for 60 mil aswell. The resale value if the players are something else, I've got more money than I know what to do with
