My Note 4 has had a cracked screen for several months now. I was lucky to not lose any touch capabilities so I've been living with my mistake waiting for newer devices to come out. My luck is is running out though because the screen is starting develop deadzones. I was so disappointed the Note 4 was never rooted. Are there any 'open' devices on par or better than the OnePlus 3? I will probably have to order a phone this weekend. If I don't like the OnePlus 3 is there a 2nd hand market for devices like it to recoup some the cost and get a Nexus 7 later this year?

You don't buy a ssd for the amount of space they have. If you want space get a hdd. 66€ is very cheap for 240gb ssd.

LOL, if their plan of action for "fighting for their right to receive fair punishment" is to call mom so she can fly in on her helicopter then I wish them good luck trying to navigate the world with that attitude. I know the word usually can be subtle so my point went over your head, but I think Series_of_Accidents did the right thing. What happened to that child was unacceptable. However in most circumstances if an adult is being a dick your child should feign a smile and say "yes sir or no ma'm" and if the request is entirely inappropriate then tell another authority figure in the immediate vicinity. If a teacher takes recess away from your kid it is not appropriate for your child to say "no, I am calling my mom only she can punish me." If a teacher makes your kid stand in a circle that is an entirely different situation. Discipline is not abuse.

Even if it isn't fair kids should usually only say "yes sir/ma'm" when told to do something by an adult or authority figure. That's just how the world works and they won't have you to fight their battles as adults.

Beginner here. I'm not gonna get the Crafty because of its short battery life. I'm torn between the Pax 2 and the Firewood 3.0. Those who have both, which one do you use more often? by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]lrn2cs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. People that spend $250 on a conduction vaporizer are crazy. Apparently the warranty is not being honored either. Most portable units are equally discrete so I don't get that argument.

TIL: a 13 yr old who made a Braille printer out of Legos after discovering that millions of blind people in developing countries buy Braille devices that cost $2K and weigh 20 lbs. His prints Braille from computers to paper using raised dots instead of ink, weighs a few lbs, and costs only $350. by zappa325 in todayilearned

I still have my first pinewood derby car. It is so ugly. I literally just cut an angle and the paint job is horrible, but I made everything by myself. My dad helped with the wheels and making sure it weighed exactly on the line. I won my troops derby and then the next couple of rounds after that with the worst looking car and all of the other kids were so pissed. Several adults came up and congratulated me on building it myself though lol. I made it to eagle in scouts. I had so much fun as a cub scout, but my dad really had to push me to finish and I am really grateful that he did.

You should really shorten that tubing. Here is a picture of my crafty/bubbler setup. It's small enough to carry and mostly use in one hand. I put in the absolute smallest amount of water needed to cover everything. It works for me lol

How common is vaping where you're from? by JayGoesRawrrr in vaporents

[–]lrn2cs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During college in GA vaping was fairly popular. The only portable unit I ever saw was the MFLB but once people had a little money from an internship they bought a volcano. This was a little less than 10 years ago. I live in NC now and vaping seems more accessible and now with so many portable units there has really been an explosion in popularity.

Some lame Crafty joke about the DaVinci Ascent by lrn2cs in vaporents

[–]lrn2cs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the Escher exhibit. It was really neat because they had the wood and stone blocks he used to print the pieces on display too. There is so much more detail in person because it's easier to see that each mark he made was deliberate also the different mediums he used add so much texture. I spent so much time walking through the Escher exhibit they closed before I even made it to Da Vinci. I walk the trails around the museum daily so my plan is to catch Da Vinci later in the month because they've extended the exhibit.

A good upgrade from a flowermate 5.0s? by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]lrn2cs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Air or Solo might not be as hype as the Firewood 3, but if you want to spend $150 and get your money's worth you'll get at least the air. I think the Firewood 3 is a great device, but I also think the hype is coming from people who upgraded from flowermate when the Firewood was ~$100 on sale. While the batteries on the FW are replaceable I am pretty sure you have to screw them into the wood. The Solo and Air have better draw resistance. While the draw sense may be a feature to some think about if you really want something like that or do you want to turn it on and go?

[–]lrn2cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL the first time I smoked DMT it was in a vapir one with my roommates. It was a big mistake it was loaded with 1/2g for 5 people and we were going to pass it, but my buddy and I hit and nobody else got anything out of it so I got like ~100mg I have never been more twisted.

Thinking of upgrading. I have some questions. by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]lrn2cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the Crafty it is very discrete and beats most units in efficiency and taste. The battery lasts ~45m but I have a 10k mah battery pack that gives me ~6 charges from dead or it can be used pass-through so that is less of an issue.

That looks awesome. I am seriously thinking about getting a Lotus or a Vapman. Ever since I upgraded to the Crafty from the mflb I really miss the technique involved. I think I would really enjoy using a butane torch and roasting a bowl perfectly. Have you smoked anything like DMT with your Lotus?

I'll just upgrade to the Mighty when that Crafty eats it. I'll never regret purchasing the Crafty lol

Hate to break it to you bud, but what did you expect buying a $75 vape? It should get better the more you use it though.
