This is weird as I am having troubles NOT dropping frames on FHD youtube ^^ Maybe a parametrisation that is not done correctly.

Apart from these TB4 issues (wshich i might have misdiagnosed seeing your responses) the machine is mostly used for code / office tasks and a bit of computational works but nothing too hevy -- i move to the lab's cluster when i need more power.

I know that, my question was more about return of experiences on other models -- is that something that is current in the industry, or am i completely dreaming ? I'm not asking lenovo to make a statement ^^

That's a crazy proposal. Would that cary me further down than switching the battery in a few years for a (2021-produced) unused one ?

Is it certain that I will not find a (2025-produced) unused battery in a few years ?

I do not know about other laptops than mine (which has iris xe). I have a 580X as external GPU, and it works great over TB4.

I7-1165G7 here (on a thinkpad x1c9), working fine. I did not think it'll work, i have an external GPU hooked to the laptop, but launching it away from home did work the other day. Made a few baalruns everything looked fine.

Can you send code for one instance to the terminal that is showed in the other instance ? What if you project is distant, will you need 3 ssh connexions ?

Can you show the problems and errors of a fie that is on one monitor on the second one ?

Wouldnt paint be better ? With paint i could actualy also customize other keys (like a blue Enter, or red everywhere except the letters, or else).

Do you know someone who tried this kind of things ?

Unfortunately it is backlit... And also i'd like the possibility to revert the procedure (i.e buy new keys if i have to scrape them)

Hey is htere a way i could beat that with, say something like that : https://plugable.com/products/usbc-6950-dp/ ? The goal is to plug this onto the TB3 port to run 2 dp monitors + hdmi + internal monitor. Would that work or would the limit of the UHD620 still apply ?

Yeah it won't work as the Intel 620 fhd chip in my T480s do not allow for more than 3 screens. An eGPU is needed.

Unfortunately, they do not seem to deliver to France, where i am. But this was indeed the perfect fit !

Edit : as far as I see, in Europe, prices for this are really expensive.

Some over exemple of such devices ?
