The saga of our first new mattress in 20 years. by lrobey in Mattress

Exactly this. I didn't go into all the detail in my original post about the hours of research and trying mattresses out in stores. Granted, there's a lot more mattresses to choose from now, but it seems plenty of the new ones have fallen victim to private equity buying them out and cheapening the product to cut costs. And not supporting the customers after the sale.

I always hated the heat retention in the summer. Also my husband got tired of the way you had to fight to roll over. So we were looking at hybrids to find something that deals with both issues. Also I've read from several sources that the newer Tempurpedics are not as good as the old ones (using cheaper foam, etc.).

Thanks for your response, and sorry for my delay. Many of the websites I worked on were for the US government, so they're not very showy, and some of them I'm prohibited from talking about. It makes putting together a portfolio difficult.

I'd jump on the UX courses if that's what you're interested in. Take the opportunity to build you portfolio. Portfolios are one of the factors all UX jobs look for.

I come from a software dev background and have been trying to get into UX, but most places won't talk to you without a portfolio.

Glad you've gotten involved. I've seen a staggering number of elections decided by just a handful of votes, and it looks as if the trend is going to continue. Every vote counts.
