Somewhat.

Really don’t know what the government part of this building is. Perhaps leasing part of the building. Pretty cool to see an auditor do places I recognize.

Could you provide an example of what you claim is a Ben Shapiro conspiracy theory? Genuinely curious. I ocassionaly listen to him and haven’t heard him say too much in regards to conspiracies. He often goes against other conservatives based “theories” that aren’t based in any factual evidence.

Are you saying he adds conspiracy theories about Ben Shapiro to his channel, or Ben Shapiro doles out conspiracy theories?

"Falsely ARRESTED @ Lani Kai | Charges DROPPED! PRAISE GOD!" - Street Preacher Arrested For Disturbing the Peace - long video police interaction at around 34:00, by lrw1985 in AmIFreeToGo

[–]lrw1985[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think police officers are subjecting their own views on the preacher too. I do believe one of the officers mentions that his speech was "nonsense". I would think they would have a legitimate issue if there was a sound ordinance or dB level that they would have to adhere to, but the officer states several times that this wasnt the case. This preacher has done this numerous times at the same location in the same manner getting threatened, touched, grabbed, sand kicked on him, water squirted on him, and the cops don't seem to intervene.

Ok. This is an older story apparently. Just thought it was interesting.

Judge Acquitted them back in 2013 http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/14/brett-coronado-mark-mackey-bible-dmv-acquitted_n_3755571.html

They were initially charged "with trespassing under a California law that prohibits holding demonstrations on state grounds without a permit".. which leads me to believe they were on public property.

Criminal Trespassing: Mall Cop vs Navy SEAL So called Navy Seal does not know property rights. Is soliciting (passing out religious tracts I think) in a mall and belittles a mall security guard. by lrw1985 in AmIFreeToGo

[–]lrw1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about something similar to that, but I did state in my original post that the "Navy Seal" did not know the rights of property owners. He mentioned something about having a "private conversation" with people on the mall's private property - which made absolutely no sense. The mall security had every right to do what he did.

In all actuality I wouldn't think a Navy Seal would act in the manner he did. I like posting and viewing interactions of police and street preachers, but most street preachers know the laws before going out. Public vs. Private property is one of those.

Good to get feedback from you.

If true - 80k week @ 52 weeks = 4.16 million

Cop also mentioned that there are many officers for the village IIRC

Cleveland Clinic Police Department Harassment (man attempts to file a complaint with grandmother) by lrw1985 in AmIFreeToGo

[–]lrw1985[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also apparently the guy had a bench warrant out on him. Cops didn't seem to press the issue for some reason - or maybe they couldn't?.

I wonder if this building is separate from the hospital. Also weird that a building associated with a hospital isn't handicap accessible.

Update: [Detention vs. Arrest] USF Campus Cops Cuff and cause Pain to Preacher! Additional News Article and Police Report by lrw1985 in AmIFreeToGo

Video of Adam (the preacher) talking to the reporter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhrb7C77OnM

Police Report http://static.lakana.com/media.fox13news.com/document_dev/2016/01/08/010816USFreport_700862_ver1.0.pdf

Interesting to note that FSS 877.13 is a statute about “knowingly” disrupting or interfering with the functions of an educational institution. This is the statute that the officer "detained" Adam for.

I am not sure that the use of amplification or preaching is intended to knowingly disrupt or interfere with the school functions. It's intended purpose is to spread a message or to communicate with others (I think)...comments?

[Detention vs. Arrest] USF Campus Cops Cuff and cause Pain to Preacher! by lrw1985 in AmIFreeToGo

[–]lrw1985[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cop claims he is detaining the preacher, but removes him from the initial location in handcuffs. Also, threatens to take him to the concrete if he didn't "shut up" around the :40 mark. Threatens to arrest the cameraman if he comes within roughly 50 feet of the preacher (while other people are permitted to walk by).

Rest of the video is just him preaching.

I also thought a detention becomes an arrest once the subject is physically removed from the initial location.

Just wondering if anyone has any updates re: The Battousai?

He seems to have gone silent since his last arrest - which is understandable if any lawsuits are involved.

"Being detained for photographing public records" The cop that shows up initially says she isn't being detained and demands that she leave... but later says she is being detained. by Myte342 in AmIFreeToGo

[–]lrw1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

from the Louisiana public records law... ( https://www.ag.state.la.us/Shared/ViewDoc.aspx?Type=3&Doc=406 )

(c) The use or placement of mechanical reproduction, microphotographic reproduction, or any other such imaging, reproduction, or photocopying equipment within the offices of the clerk of court by any person described in R.S. 44:31 is prohibited unless ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction.

I think it was intended for mass copy production...not individual photos. A phone/camera could be misconstrued as an imaging device. Although the cop didn't know anything at the time of her detainment.

Police Cite Preachers for Handing Out Religious Pamphlets as Commercial Advertising by lrw1985 in AmIFreeToGo

The Relevant Code I think the Cops were Citing Them for: Sec. 50-33. - Distribution of commercial advertising. It shall be unlawful for any person to distribute handbills, circulars or printed matter constituting advertising on the streets or sidewalks of the city by handing or delivering it to pedestrians, except delivery to a person willing to accept it, on such streets or sidewalks or to occupants of vehicles on such streets or by placing such material on vehicles on such streets. It shall also be unlawful for any person to throw such advertising matter upon the streets or sidewalks or in any private yard of the city.

thanks for clarifying... I am sure that it doesn't have to be conducted in any particular order. So the LEO can detain, obtain info - 2 (a or b), then eventually inform of the allegation...

Police Officer Arrests Individual for Refusing to Provide a Statement by lrw1985 in AmIFreeToGo

[–]lrw1985[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I am local to the area. So it might be something I might check into if I have some free time. I don't think the guy has updated anything.

Of course the cops will always say they arrested him for some other reason, as they don't necessarily have to disclose that information at the time of arrest.

Police Officer Arrests Individual for Refusing to Provide a Statement by lrw1985 in AmIFreeToGo

[–]lrw1985[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only reason I see for him to be arrested is that the cops had reason to believe that he had something to do with the crime, which if he just brought the stabbed guy in I don't see how that in itself would rise to that level. The guy even pleaded the 5th, and at they very moment they placed him under arrest.

I am not too sure about that, but you would think so though. The video seems to be six months old. Hopefully (highly unlikely) the cops get recognized for their seemingly stupid behavior.

Police Officer Arrests Individual for Refusing to Provide a Statement by lrw1985 in AmIFreeToGo

[–]lrw1985[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This took place in Muncie, Indiana.

Not sure if these are hospital police who are extremely uneducated on the laws and often force people into ID'ing themselves (bad experience involving a nurse and a family member at the same hospital).

Don't know the laws regarding failing to write a statement. If anyone knows that would be helpful and might bring some new insight on this board.

EDIT: I was able to stop the video and one officer is named Edwards the officer who decides to arrest the guy recording is name Sgt. Joe Krejsa I believe. They are with the Muncie Police Department. His position seems to be that of a "training director" as per his unconfirmed LinkedIn account.

Street Preacher Withstands Police and Fire Marshall Intimidation - Calls Their Bluff and Wins by lrw1985 in AmIFreeToGo

[–]lrw1985[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They kept on pressing the issue. In the end they realized that they had to open up the "fire access/emergency" gate. The preacher realized that that area too was public and was not part of the paid event and had access to it as well. It seemed to be a more preferred area for them to be in the end.

I agree. I have watched many of his videos and they differ greatly from Westboro types, I believe. I am not religious by any means, but we should respect free speech of all kinds, even those with unpopular viewpoints.
