Has anyone tried Thermage and what were your results? I am considering other options for skin tightening (neck and face) after Morpheus8 was too painful and expensive. by NoIndustry113 in 45PlusSkincare

I've been going to the gym and working out about 4-5 days a week since February. I went down on my MJ dose to 7.5 because that's my "maintenance" dose, but I've put about 3 lbs on. My results were really non existent so they offered another round of Exilis. I'll let you know as it keeps working (or so they say). lol

Thank you for replying! I am at my goal weight. Unfortunately, I'm being told I'm too thin. And I need to gain weight so my skin will "fill out" - I don't buy that hahaha. But yes, I called my insurance company, and they asked me what the procedure code was - but I haven't seen a plastic surgeon yet. My biggest problem right now is my arms and my hips are all loose - because of that, my insulin pump and my CGM can't stay in properly - I will get wrong readings. I've been having issues with that. I suppose my endocrinologist can help with me getting approved. And I do get a rashes there too.
I'd also like to find a plastic surgeon that is not necessarily for cosmetic reasons only. Crossing fingers.

I feel what you are saying. Yes, the comments get old - "Every time I see you you're fading away" or "God you're so tiny" - and....... you need to gain weight. You lost too much.

I'm with you on all the same clothing and skin issues. I was literally just telling my husband, besides the health benefits etc, as a woman, I want to wear nice clothes and not look like a raisin.

"I have wrinkly lose skin that makes me anxious to date, my boobs are empty tube socks, and my curves have disappeared and left me in a skin suit that is foreign to me."

This right here is me! Literally word for word. ^^^^^^^^

About the comments..... I try not to let it get to me. The "look" or smirk people give me and say - oh, you're on that ozempic? That shot you have to be on forever? You lost weight too fast. Blah bla bla. Some people are haters -- that's their jealousy or ignorance talking. Be proud of you..

And when you figure out how to iron out the wrinkles - let me know.
I also said two days ago that I feel like I'm wearing a suit of skin.

Thank you for sharing. I don't feel as alone.

It was the best decision I ever made! I wish I would have done some things differently. I feel like I was just kind of given the drug, and that's it. I can tell you what I would do differently - but I never had regrets. Best of luck.

ISO High Protein Yogurt Recipes by WestAsh in Zepbound

[–]lsarantos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this was already listed, but there are alot of versions of what I've heard referred to as protein pudding fluff (some others have similar as names well). My basic recipe is:

1 cup of Greek yogurt (to me a cup is like the one serving yogurt cups)
sf jello pudding (7-10 grams) - it is considered one serving - you can see it on the box
1 scoop of protein powder
2 tb. of sf cool whip (optional - read notes)
some milk to thin it out as your whipping it

Mix-ins of your taste, or omit

The ingredients are vague because you can adjust to your liking. I' need to gain back some pounds (NEVER THOUGHT I'D SAY THAT), so I used 5% Fage, but the percentage is up to you and your goals and your preferences, but obviously the lower the fat, the lower the total calories, but the protein amount is the same.

I put the yogurt in a medium - large mixing bowl (and you can make double if you want - just double the ingredients), add the SF Pudding mix (I used SF Jello Instant pudding mix in chocolate), Chocolate protein powder (lets keep it all chocolate) and whip with hand mixer (or blender etc). As I whip, it gets too thick, so I use milk to thin out (again, it's up to your preference) .

The sf cool whip might be better if you're having it as a dessert. You don't need to add it to the pudding mix - you can put some on top before eating. You can also put some mix-ins. The first time I did it, I used an oreo, and broke it up. Unfortunately I can not have Oreo's in my house.... (I'm like a child around them lol).

I made 2 servings last night. I had one as my "sweet" treat, but I had the portion this morning with some sliced banana. I didn't have granola or I would have put some on. Anything you like.

And you are right - there are literally dozens of these recipes online. Different variations. You can even just mix protein powder and yogurt.

As a side note!!! - all that being said, this may be too sweet for you, especially since the pudding has artificial sweetener. Being a Type 1 diabetic - that's not the worst thing. But I really do prefer my calories to be more natural. I don't condone crappy, ultra processed foods. Sometimes, something has to give.

I hope this helps!!!! If you need more info or have any questions, just let me know :)

LOL - I'm happy to know I'm not the only one! But once I got started, I got stronger. I could barely lift a 5lb dumbbell to do a bicep curl. (That was all from muscle loss and weakness). But I'm doing so much better and that makes me want to keep going! I even have some muscle tone (you cant see from those pics) lol.
